Excuse me guys, maybe this question came up, but what setting is this? Original Matt Mercer's? Any one knows?
Yes, his original setting. It’s the same world as the first campaign but in a different area and about 50 years later I believe. I’m pretty sure he states it in the beginning of episode 1

20 years. It's a good amount of time where everyone from the first campaign is enjoying retirement and living life. Maybe at higher levels they will cross the ocean and meet them but Matt is very big on leaving the old group out of this for now
My main issue with Talks Machina is that unless you catch it when it airs, you never see it as they don't upload it anywhere. I get why they do it, but why can't they at least upload clips of it in case people can't watch it?

I never watched it because I haven't really had an interest in it. That being said, I never realized it wasn't uploaded anywhere, I had thought maybe I'd watch one just to see if I'd like it, but I'd never be able to catch it live.
G&S only has a few up they have for ep 75-77 some from conventions the wrap up episode for 115 and a fire side one with left over wrap up questions. but anything between 77 and 115 is no where to be found
I love BW Foster. That being said, I think that a show like Talks Machina just doesn't fit a brand new campaign. All these deep and pointed questions are asked that, from what I've seen so far, either the player doesn't want to answer, or doesn't know themselves.
I feel as if starting the Talks show a bit later into the new CR season would work a lot better, but that's just me.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
That's why I said if you don't catch it life you never see it, they can't expect everyone to pay just to see Talks machina. Like I said I get why they do it but CR gets uploaded to you tube 4 days after it airs, I don't see why they can't cut TM into a few clips and up load thoes On say Thursday mornings or Friday.

Blame Brian W. Foster, things are most commonly his fault.

Because editing is a long process, and not very cost effective. On average, editing is about a 10:1 ratio, so the hour of Twitch Talks Machina will take about 10 hours of editing (although that tends to apply only to one product, so I'm not sure the man hours it would take to make multiple clips). Uploading a full game is super easy because they just crop the excess sections, which isn't the same thing as editing. Being that they only make $2.50 for every Twitch subscription, G&S doesn't have the income to drop over a thousand dollars into editing for an after show with a much smaller audience. As it stands, G&S doesn't make a lot of money on their own, and they already almost went under, which is why Legendary bought them out (along with Nerdist) and restructured the corporate side. That's why Wil Wheaton isn't coming back for season five of TableTop, because of creative differences with the new executives.
I get that not everyone can afford the $5/month to be able to support them, and that's fine, but there are sacrifices that we need to make to balance the scales between quality entertainment and production costs. That's actually a big reason why they launched Alpha, so they can actually get the full $5/month that we pay, so they can get more money for production, and they offer other features, like easier access to back catalogues, streaming, and other exclusive features. They do what they can to provide the best service they can give based on the revenue and resources they have, and it's great how much they provide for free. They're just limited in what they can do and still make money to keep production going, pay employees, and answer to Legendary and their shareholders.
So can I watch the archives of Talks Machina if I subscribe to Alpha? Because I'd do that during some Holiday season probably, but I wanna make sure I'll have the possibility to catch up, and not just watch on-line, because as a European, it seems impossible to me. :(

Thank for clearing that up, makes perfect and logical sense
lol I think Beauregard/Marisha forgot the first rule of fight club.
Ha, I have about 30 minutes left in the episode, but I don’t remember them telling her she couldn’t talk about it. But that was a pretty awesome scene.
My favorite part was Nott saying to Yasha, “Oh, there’s no comma I’m just Nott the brave.” I couldn’t stop laughing at that.
And is Jester the perfect Trickster or what? I mean EVERYTHING is a joke and fair game. It won’t be long before the world is covered in lewd graffiti and price cards everywhere are messed up.
Also Fjord, the half-orc, being the friendliest and most socially acceptable of the group is just fantastic (I’m specifically thinking of them in the shop and him thanking the shopkeeper while Beau is like “This place sucks” and he almost feels the need to apologize on her behalf).

Agreed, that comma comment was hilarious.
also Beau's apologizing :)
I wonder if Ashley/yasha is a fallen Aasimar.

I just realized that there are plenty of critical role gifs on facebook messenger. I'm gonna bully marketing them to all my rollplaying friends by using only such gifs. :D It's a shame they don't even want to start watching, because it's longer than a movie. The longer the merrier I'd say.

How do you get a one-armed goblin out of a tree?
Wave!
They were even talking about the 20 year skip on Talks Machina last night and the life span of bears.

Talks Machina isn't uploaded anywhere for free; however, VoDs are available on both Alpha and Twitch for anyone subscribed to that channel.
