During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available from Wizards of the Coast, including the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion and potentially others. The beta will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book, Module or Supplement.
Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.

I know everyone is excited about launch, but please remember to be nice to each other. (And thank you for reminding me we need to start creating new copy pastas).
To Griffin118 - as the above statement mentions, we are still in Beta (however not for long!), and only the content provided for free from Wizards of the Coast is available. Once the launch happens, you'll be able to purchase additional books or individual classes/spells/items to help you build your character. Full pricing details can be found here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/pricing-details
Both the Hermit Background and the Circle of the Moon subclass are not found in the D&D 5th edition SRD or the D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, hence why you currently can't apply them to a character in the builder.

Tooltips (Help/aid)
The mods refer to our copy/pastes as 'copy pastas'. Basically we are always hungry. :D
Edit: Also I am writing the new one to be pronoun neutral so it can be used by everyone.
