I ran into a situation that I had never encountered before. Usually when a PC goes to 0 hp the party makes an effort to get them up or stabilize them, assuming they don't die.
When the encounter ends, then the healers step in and bring them out of 0. During a game I ran, the cleric went down, rolled successful death saves and stabilized. Nobody in the party had healing skills or spells.
What is supposed to happen next? Long rest and everything good?

I am guessing the local apothecary is getting bought out soon, but also you might want to remind anyone with Herbalism kit proficiency that they can make healing potions. It takes 1 day and 25 gp of materials per Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
In the group I am in, unspoken standard operating procedure is that everyone has at least one basic potion of healing to get downed players up with. About half have 3 or 4 on hand.

I'd have them regain consciousness - and 1 HP - in an hour. Pins the Party down for awhile, though.

If i recall, once you’re stabilized, you come back with 1hp in 1d4 hours.

The other characters may want to consider finding some way to administer healing for future situations. :)

They could have still rolled a Medicine Check to stabilize, and then woken them up later. How rude!
