All you should need to do is click on the image in Imgur, and copy the "Original GIF Link"  and put that in to the "Insert Edit Image" dialog in the editor here.

It won’t upload as a gif. It’s saved in my photos as a gif, but it keeps uploading to imgur as a jpg.

Edit: AHH HA!! I finally figured out how to upload it as a gif from my iPad! I first had to download it to my files and upload it from there instead of from my photos.

Note for others in similkar-ish binds: Discord actually works as an image uploader.  You can drag and drop images (below a certain size) into a Discord channel and it'll automatically upload and host them for you, complete with postable link.  Observe:
 

Posted (and hosted) via Discord.  If you have a personal server for a D&D group, a friend circle, or something else, you can create an "Image Uploads" channel you use primarily for fast, easy image hosting for stuff like HeroForge without having to deal with Imgur's shit.  It doesn't work for full-sized spinny GIFs unless you buy Nitro, but you do have enough space for the smaller, lower-quality spinny GIFs.  Observe Mk.
