Tabaxi Swashbuckler - AL Legal! Who wants to help with design? I wanted to play a Tabaxi Swashbuckler and I only play AL games because my schedule is wonky. I bought Extra Life Certs from Greg Myers Extra Life Campaign that let me do Tabaxi AND Swashbuckler not counting against by PHB+1. I've kicked design around a bit but honestly haven't played enough since June (when I restarted D&D after 20 years) to feel like I'm doing it justice. I'm not trying to MAX him, more about having fun and doing crazy cat like things. So anyone who wants to post some ideas on this, please do.
Saw one idea to get a feat to pick up Booming Blade to add to Sneak attack as well as Mage Armor for AC. Also Prestidigitation of cat cleanliness.
Also thinking of multiclassing him to bard, maybe warlock, too.
Anyway, post ideas if you like, stats, your homebrew version of Puss and Boots.....
If you don't plan on choosing from a non-Volo or non-XGE/SCAG source, then you really only need one of those certs for the character. Since Booming Blade and Swashbuckler are both in SCAG, you can make that character with either cert. And then you can use the other cert on another character.
You are correct, that was pointed out to me. I was kind of thinking of trying to see how Bard College of Swords might also play into this, which would mean Xanathars, but I hadn't realized not using SCAG meant I lost Booming Blade and Green Flame Blade. More to consider thanks for the input!
