I am a new DM and my friends and I just finished our first campaign using the Starter Set. We were really into it, however sometimes they would get confused on positioning during combat which slowed things down, so I’ve been looking into miniatures for our next game. I came across a pretty nice budget option, the only downside being that it’s comprised of 1:72 (instead of what I hear the standard 1:64) (in the description it says 22mm in wargaming scales). Since I want to be combining this with a playing board, do you guys have any suggestions on ones that are slightly smaller grid squares than 1 inch?
they are just visual aids for positioning its ok to be slightly out of scale. heck in a pinch we have used dice as stand ins. pennys also work well for large mobs of enemies. btw if you look at the backside of wrapping paper there is a 1" grid you can draw out several maps and roll them back up to keep them out of the way (don't forget to label them)
which product includes this 1" grid on the backside of the wrapping paper you are speaking of?
Most quality wrapping papers like one uses to wrap presents. On the front it says “Happy Birthday” (or whatever) all over it, but on the back it has a grid to help cut straight lines and easily measure sections.
