Hey all. I'm trying to design a puzzle using spinning rings, as seen in Skyrim, or the map in Pirates of the Caribbean, but I'm struggling to find out what they're called, much less any information on how to make them. Does anyone happen to know?

You could have a look at Decoder Rings, they are used to decipher basic words or messages. There are plenty of "How to make" guides online for them.
