Morning all, I am currently writing a one shot session for my first time dming for my normal weekly group. I have played alot of d&d but never as a DM. I have the basic structure and narrative for the session but need some help fluffing it out and making it more interesting.
I got the idea for the one shot from a previous session I had with my party. One of the groups characters is called Claude, and he found "The One Ring" whilst looting. Which gave me the idea for "Claude of the Ring" 😅
So Claude has tasked the new party with helping him return the ring to an altar belonging to his God "Anoia" (Goddess of Things That Get Stuck in Drawers, a minor goddess on the Discworld.) The altar has supposedly been found deep in an old abandoned mine. I have structure, combat and a few puzzles planned but I need to flesh it all out.
At the end of the mines in the altar room the party will encounter the big bad guy for the main campaign, linking in the one shot.
So, I need some help fleshing it out and adding more interesting fluff to the one shot. Any help, critique etc are greatly appreciated!
