So I'm trying to create a set of armor here, that is basically Elven Chain, but for Plate Mail. Problem is, despite the fact that I have tried to remove the STR requirement, as well as the Stealth Disadvantage, it still applies those two to the character. Any tips on how to fix this?

Couldn't you just modify Elven Chain's AC bonus to make it the same as plate?

 Possibly, but doesn't Elven Chain do AC+DEX, whereas Plate sets it to a specific number?

 Add this to it:

• Modifier: Set
• Subtype: AC MAX Dex Armored Modifier
• Fixed Value: 0

Alternatively, you could use:

• Modifier: Set
• Subtype: Armored Class
• Fixed Value: 8

That would set it as a Locke AC 18 while equipped.

I guess that's fair. But I just created an item where I copied elven chain, changed its type to plate, removed the strength prereq and the stealth disadvantage, and it seems to work fine.

It also sounds like what you're TRYING to create is mithral armor, not elven chain? Elven chain is just +1 armor that confers proficiency. Mithral armor is the one that negates strength requirements and stealth penalties.

 Yes, it appears so. I didn’t notice that before since I always get those two confused too, so I can’t really blame them for that. But you are correct.
