I'm homebrewing a ranger subclass that I want to be able to use Wisdom for their weapon attack and damage rolls similar to and artificer or hexblade but I can't figure out how to do it. I tried using the "Bonus - Magic Item Attack With Wisdom" but it only worked on magic weapons (obviously). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That is not currently possible with the homebrewer. You would have to list it as plain txt and the player would have to manually adjust the attack and damage modifiers for all of their attacks to match Wis instead of Str/Dex.
Homebrew Subclass, modifiers, bonus, magic weapon attacks with Con/Cha/Wis etc. To change the attack modifier for all magic weapons, still no way to do it for an individual weapon to my knowledge and I homebrew a whole lot
Might be a little late to this discussion but i found a way, but unsure if it works for ranged weapons. If you add a modifier to the subclass feature of enable feature > enable hex weapon, and then another feature of replace weapon ability > (your score of choice) in modifier subtype and ability score. Finally you will need to create a new subclass feature that can be completely empty, named exactly "Hex Warrior", that you can then tick hide in builder and hide in sheet. Doing this allows for weapons you're proficient in to have a hex weapon box appear under it that will override the str/dex score with your chosen ability score.
I just kept working at it, and I believe I got it as well, with the help of Marshal_I's post.
Create class Feature (that you will most likely hide) Name it "Hex Warrior," and add in the modifier's section of that feature > Enable Hex Weapon. (Put anything in the description of it, it will not matter, same as below for Pact Weapon)
(Do the same thing for Pact Weapon. Create class Feature (that you will also most likely hide) Name it "Pact Weapon," and add in the modifier's section of that feature > Enable Pact Weapon if you want it to work for bows/ranged/two handed weapons) ^
I could not find a way to add this to melee attack though. So, I guess people will have to either math it or custom attack it.
Then go or create the feature that is will be appear on the sheet and add these 2/3 Modifiers.
Enable Feature - Enable Hex Weapon (That's it)
Enable Feature - Enable Pact Weapon (That's it. For bows/ ranged weapons/two handed weapons)
Replace Weapon Ability - Change from charisma to desired score for both Modifier Subtype and Ability Score (That's it)
When the sheet is created, just tick Hex Weapon box when you click on the weapon. Click the Pact Weapon box on Ranged/Two handed, which will allow the Hex weapon box to pop up and Voila.

Ok that kinda sucks but good to know. Thank You!

Edit: Corrections
That will change the attack stat for all magic weapons that character wields.

Ah right, I missed that it was for a specific item, I found this post looking for how to do it globally, apologies

Do you have evidence that this works? If so, then I would be grateful Marshal_I.
