so im trying to make a card slinging weapon called the card masters cards, and i want the damage to be 1d6 instead of 1d4 compared to most the homebrews ive seen in this site.

the problem is it reverts to 1d4 plus modifier damage. can someone give me some tips on how to make it into a 1d6?ive traied everything i can think of,and looked at the tutorial, and im still kinda stumped.

You have to start with a weapon that already does 1d6 damage. There is no way to alter a weapon’s base damage die, or it’s range on DDB.

You can add the versatile property which will give 1d4 and 1d6 damage codes to the character sheet.

Just explain in plain text why sometimes it does 1d6 and sometimes it does 1d4.
