When targeted by a direct spell you can use ur reaction to parry and riposte the spell towards any other creature within 60ft. In order to riposte a spell the attacking spell needs to be 5th level or lower. The new DC and/or Spell Attack Modifier is 10 + your spellcasting modifier

At higher levels: when you cast this spell using a slot of 7th or higher, a riposte is successful if the spell is of any spell level lower than the slot you used

You attempt to parry an incoming spell attack, and possibly redirect it against another target. If the attack is from a spell of 5th-level or lower, the attack automatically misses. If the attack is from a spell of 6th-level or higher, make an ability check using your spellcasting ability, the DC equals 10 + the spell's level. On a success, the attack misses.

If the attack misses, you can use it to make a ranged spell attack against another creature of your choice that you can see within 60 feet using your spell attack modifier. On a success, the spell hits that creature.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the spell attack automatically misses if its level is less than or equal to the level of the spell slot you used.
