i was trying to make a feat that granted something similar to the hexblade or battlesmiths abilities to do melee weapon attacks with cha and int instead of str and dex would i be able to do that with a feat , and how? i couldnt figure it out
The Hexblade and Battle Smith have two different features that work in two completely different ways.
The Hexblade’s Hex Warrior feature allows a character to choose a specific weapon and use Cha for attack & damage rolls for that weapon. The DDB system generates checkboxes on any weapon the PC is proficient with that meets the criteria for the player to tap/click, but cannot limit the selection to only a single weapon currently. This is only accomplished by adding a subclass feature named “Hex Warrior” to a subclass. This can only utilize Charisma.
The Battle Smith’s Battle Ready feature allows a character to use Int for any and all attacks made with specifically magic weapons. On DDB, it applies automatically across the board to any magic item the character is equipped with, without any player interaction required. This is accomplished with a simple modifier and can be applied with a feat. This can also use any Ability score you choose.
Modifier: Bonus→Subtype: Magic Item Attack With [Ability]
I there a way to apply such a change to non-magical attacks? I'm specifically looking to use Wis for ranged weapon attacks in my subclass, but I guess it's yay or nay for all non-magical.
If you run an Artificer with an infusion on a common weapon, you could reasonably take a +1 weapon of that same kind and add it to your inventory while changing the name to 'Infused [Insert Weapon Name Here] and adding a note indicating what kind of infusion you are using. I've noticed that works when it comes to attacks like that.

I guess I'll just add it manually to every weapon I use...
Thanks for the reply
