I thought the issue may be that links were originally present in some of the description boxes as the link said, but that's not it.
Then I thought that it was because not all levels had a feat so I added a few things like ability score improvements, new langaues and proficiencies. But that didn't work.
Just checking, it is possible to have multiple feats in a single level right? Cause I have 2 feats at level 1. One of those is to give the character its basic weapon/armor/tool proficiencies. And 3 feats at level 2.
First of all, they are features, not Feats. Feats are something completely different.
B:
I explained about those error messages in the FAQ:
“This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass.”
That means you have one or more spells that are not Free Content Spells mapped to your subclass. Any spells not on that list👆have got to go.
“This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.”
That means one of two things:
You have one or more class features at the wrong level(s).
You are missing at least one feature at each of the required levels. (Yes, you can have multiple features at those levels.)
Finally:
Whenever you add anything to, change anything on, or remove anything from any homebrew, you MUST re-save the entire project using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information. The system only checks those compliances when the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information has been hit.
C:
As to your players not being able to add the subclass to their character sheets, that has nothing to do with any of the above. They have to toggle on Homebrew content for their character sheets.
D:
You do not need to publish your homebrew to use it.
E:
I explained all of that👆in the FAQ #s 5, 6, 7, & Ω, just in fewer words, and with pictures. All you had to do was read it.
B - I'm not trying or wanting to publish the subclass. I don't even need to. I am fully aware that you do not have to publish it in order to use in your own character creations.
B (part 2) - Yes, I made sure to re-save, save, save again, multiple times save on the main project over and over to make sure everything was updating correctly.
C - I do have homebrew toggled on, the subclass features are still not appearing?
D - Yes I am aware. Not worried about publishing. It has alot of custom and homebrew spells and so on so it will probably never be published.
E - I did read it. All of it. And I followed through with everything they suggested. Got rid of hidden links by cleaning the text in notepad and in the snippet. And tested to make sure that every level had a feature but that didn't work/or affect anything. And I checked to make sure that the default class features were there as well. I recreated the subclass using the template from the Wizard with the school of War Magic and it still didn't work.
Not sure what to do? I followed everything you stated. And it's still not working
You have subclass features at almost every level. You can only have subclass features at the correct levels, the same levels the official subclasses for that class have levels. What class is it for? Wizard? You can only have features at 2nd, 6th, 10th, and 14th levels for Wizard subclasses. That’s it. As the FAQ states:
It is not enough to have features at all the correct levels. (You can fave multiple features at each level.) There must also not be any features at any other levels. (The one exception is that a 3rd level feature is required for Druid subclasses for no obvious reason.)
And as I stated above:
“This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.”
That means one of two things:
You have one or more class features at the wrong level(s).
You are missing at least one feature at each of the required levels. (Yes, you can have multiple features at those levels.)
You probably cannot use the subclass because your character isn’t 2nd level yet. A Wizard must be 2nd level to take a subclass.
OOOOOOOOH. That makes a lot of sense... Yes, I fixed that and now it's working. I am blind at reading :P Thanks for all the help my dude. I was very confusious.
I did all of this, I got no error on my Homebrew, I have homebrew enabled, yet it still won't show, why's this? I've tried refreshing it, closing it, you name it, it still doesn't show.
I've created a subclass for the Wizards and want to now create a character using it.
However, it simply refuses to display in the list of classes/subclasses to pick from?
I'm also getting this error on my subclass. Not sure if this is the cause of the issue?
