I have created a homebrew Warlock sub-class for an Elemental Lord patron. As part of this, I want additional spells added to the spell list based on the element type of the patron. So I have 4 options with the element of choice as the prerequisite. The problem is no matter how I arrange the "Consume Spell Slot", "Counts As Known Spell", and "Always Prepared" options, the spells never show up in the list of spells to know, and instead always show up on the character sheet. If I select "Hide on Character Sheet" it doesn't add the spells to the list of spells I can know. I've combed through Google trying to figure this out and what I am trying to accomplish seems to have never been answered. Please help.

You have to enter them all in this field under Basic Information:

I'm trying something along the same vein; I need to add a homebrew spell created by someone else to my additional specific spells, but it's not showing up in the list of available spells. Is there something special I need to be able to do to add it? TIA!

You cannot add other people’s homebrews to your own homebrews. You’re going to have to recreate the spell for yourself.
