I'm a bit confused on using dnd beyond to keep track on players equipment. Should I make every item they pick up as a home-brew item and add it to their inventory that way?
For example, my players have picked up a cloak, a gold ring, a severed finger, a bottle with the ashes of a goblin, a gold banana, and a rock.
Should I make all of these as individual home-brew items and then add it to their inventories? Seems excessive for every single item players put in their pockets https://tutuappx.com/. And very time consuming to do during the game if I have to improv certain items.
I would use "Other possessions" however, Some of my players prefer printed out sheets, and "other possessions" doesn't show up on the dnd beyond exported sheet. AND, those items can't be equipped or added as an action If they're to be used as weapons or something.
How does everyone deal with the random items players pick up when using dnd beyond?

Your players can add “custom items” directly to their character sheets.
And for your paper users, they can just write it in with a pencil like we all used to do before DDB.
