As a bonus action, you magically wreathe yourself in swirling fire, as your eyes glow like hot coals. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
1) You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. 2) Any creature takes fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier when you hit it on your turn with an attack from within 5 feet. Any creature that starts it's turn or approaches within 5 feet of you will take this damage. 3) Whenever you roll fire or radiant damage on your turn, the roll gains a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier, and spells of these damage types do not have disadvantage when targeting an enemy within 5 feet.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. If you have no more uses remaining, you may spend 5 sorcery points to use this feature again.
I tried reading through the threads and didn't get very far. This my first ever homebrew, and I am struggling some what. Sorry to bother but getting this one to work will help me get off the ground
Temporary effects such as that are not currently supported by DDB. Most of it would just be plain text. The only things there are to actually program are:
The snippet to automatically display the Charisma modifier in the text in those sections of the character sheet. You would use the {{modifier:cha}} snippet.
If I might be so bold, I would also recommend rewording your feature a little as follows for the sake of clarity:
As a bonus action, you magically manifest flame itself. For the next 1 minute you are wreathed in swirling fire, your eyes glow like hot coals, and you gain the following benefits:
You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
Whenever a creature starts its turn within 5 feet of you, comes within 5 feet of you for the first time on its turn, or you hit a creature within 5 feet of you with an attack on your turn, that creature takes an an amount of fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
Whenever you roll fire or radiant damage on your turn, the roll gains a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier.
Ranged spell attacks that deal fire or radiant damage do not suffer disadvantage when targeting a creature within 5 feet of you.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all uses of this feature whenever you finish a long rest. If you have no more uses of this feature remaining, you can spend 5 sorcery points to activate this feature.

Truth is, I just homebrew a lot. If someone asks how to do something, 10:1 I’ve already done it or at least attempted to do it before, so I know the answer. If I don’t know the answer, I can at least make a pretty educated guess. And I got a good memory for technical stuff like the content builder, so it’s easy for me to recall the answers. I can’t spell for beans, and don’t ask me for directions or to read a map, it won’t go well. But the content builder I’m pretty good with.

You can make mantle of flame (That's what this is) a homebrew spell that the subclass gives, and make the duration one minute.

Amazing thank you so much. I will be using your rewording as well.
Is there a similar situation for this?
