Also to the person that asked about the connection between agriculture and hamsters, it's based on a common expression in my native language:
Hamsteren (To hamster) means to store food and stockpile things in preparation for harsher times.
Fun fact: Mass hoarding, like what happened with TP during Corona, is called Hamsterwoede (Hamster's Rage)
