So i have been trying to make a subclass that grants spells when reaching certain levels of the class the subclass is part of, but when multiclassing the subclass grants the spells as soon as the total character level is at the level the class should be at when gaining the spell as long as there are spell slots of the appropriate level available. this is kinda annoying to deal with cause i dont want my sorlock to gain lightning bolt for free from taking 3 levels of warlock when it should require 5 levels to gain it.

when making the subclass i have used the level division 2 function under the add spells selection and also tried using the available at character level function, both of them had the same issue.

Are they set to consume spell slots? That might be the thing that’s tripping up the system. When a character multiclasses two spellcaster classes, they are sposta combine like that to generate higher level slots, but they are not sposta count as combined when preparing spells. Jonestly I think this might be a glitch on DDB’s end and you’re just gonna hafta wait ‘til they finish sorting their 💩 out.
