I really like the Spear Mastery feat from Unearthed Arcana back in 2016, because it makes a Spear-Fighter not a complete failure. However, I'm finding it quite difficult trying to build it in D&D Beyond as a Homebrew feat, and I"m wondering if anyone has any advice?
The text of the feat is below. The last two points aren't a problem, because they are situational and just need text. They're easy. It's the first two points that have me stumped, because if this is a PC's primary weapon, I'd like these bonuses reflected in their Spear Attack entries on the D&D Beyond Character sheet. I've currently hacked this in the short term by creating a Homebrew item with the improved stats, but I'd really like to figure out how to actually build this as a feat, if it is indeed possible.
So here's what I'm trying to accomplish:
When using a certain weapon, gain +1 Attack with that weapon.
When using a certain weapon, increase the dice size, or simply define a different dice to use (d8 vs d6), including the two-handed option for a Versatile weapon.

UA Feat text:
Spear Mastery
Though the spear is a simple weapon to learn, it rewards you for the time you have taken to master it. You gain the following benefits. • You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls you make with a spear. • When you use a spear, its damage die changes from a d6 to a d8, and from a d8 to a d10 when wielded with two hands. (This benefit has no effect if another feature has already improved the weapon’s die.) • You can set your spear to receive a charge. As a bonus action, choose a creature you can see that is at least 20 feet away from you. If that creatures moves within your spear’s reach on its next turn, you can make a melee attack against it with your spear as a reaction. If the attack hits, the target takes an extra 1d8 piercing damage, or an extra 1d10 piercing damage if you wield the spear with two hands. You can’t use this ability if the creature used the Disengage action before moving. • As a bonus action on your turn, you can increase your reach with a spear by 5 feet for the rest of your turn.
I've been trying to do the same thing, i thought i couldn't cause im new to DnD beyond but i guess not ;__;
I just modified the War Pick +1 (instead of the Longsword +1 since the Longsword does slashing and i couldnt figure out how to change that to piercing) and added the Versatile (this correctly shows up as a d8/d10 :D ) and Thrown (this does not show up as 20/60 range, still only 5feet which makes me sad but its not that hard to remember) (also after discussing it with my DM he let me add the Finesse trait since spears can function similar to rapiers, adding this does automatically use my Dex).
I also added 2 custom bonus actions (not attacks) "increase range by 5feet" and "fortify for a charge" and 2 custom reactions (to show up as attacks) "Fortify 1h" and "Fortify 2h"

If anyone has found a way to do this please share.
@Nevrodin - I ended up just creating a custom Item with the +1 attack bonus, and the increased damage dice. I never found a good solution, sadly.

what the hell do we pay DnD beyond for if they do not add UA feasts?
