Hi folks, I’m trying to create a new character roughly based on Tommy from the rock opera by The Who. I’m fairly new to DnD but have an experienced group of friends I play with and my DM has said if I’m willing to do the research he’s cool with it.
Current thoughts are a human or half-elf wizard, with psionic abilities which allow me to communicate with my party members despite being unable to speak see or hear. I also plan to focus my proficiencies in perception, insight, and other appropriate options. Any suggestions, advice or inspiration are welcome!
I think a Warlock might be a better choice for that... a Great Old One Warlock gets access to psychic communication for free, and if you take pact of the chain you could use it to have a more unique familiar. One of the features of a familiar is the ability to see/hear through its senses, so your character wouldn't be quite so constrained by their lack of senses. lol although I do find something funny about planning to create a deaf/blind character and having perception as their proficiency.
lol well it's entirely up to your DM... maybe you could convince them to let you have a Mimic as your Familiar that takes the form of a pinball machine.
