I was hoping to get feedback on a Race I've been creating on and off for a few months now, the Warrior Gargoyle.
In case it's not obvious, this is less based on Gargoyles as they appear in D&D and more on the Gargoyles cartoon series. I tried to do enough original ideas that it's not just a complete ripoff of that concept, but I feel like if you read some of the details you can tell pretty obviously where the ideas are coming from.
All stars fade. Some stars forever fall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Homebrew (Mostly Outdated):Magic Items,Monsters,Spells,Subclasses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If there was no light, people wouldn't fear the dark.
I had considered it for the future. Maybe have a version that drops flight (but retains the protection from fall damage) but has boosted defense, or even one that has full flight but loses the defense boost. But I'm not sure how much it's just losing the flavor of the race if I'm just giving alternatives to one of its most unique traits. If anyone's got suggestions for Subraces I'm keen to hear them.
In the cartoon, didn’t each of the characters belong to a different clan? Am I remembering that incorrectly? Just mimic those and I think you’re all set.
They were all from the same clan, but they had wildly different body types. Plus there was the dog one and I'm not sure if he was considered the same species or some kind of subspecies. But in the show itself they all basically had the same power set, just with differing levels of strength and skill. But they do definitely give me some ideas for what a subrace could be.
Well, there were the Japanese, England and Mayan clans, along with the main Wyvern Clan from Scotland. Oh, there was also the Gargoyles from Avalon (maybe they could be reflavored to have come from the Feywilds?).

I like ‘em. Are you planning to do subraces as well? Like for the different clans?
