Pardon is this has been asked before - I did a search and couldn't find the answer.
If I am creating a homebrew version of Eldritch Blast, what options can I select to make invocations apply to this new spell? My warlock uses fire spells exclusively and she has a fire version of Eldritch Blast I would like to implement, but pretty much every option I've tried doesn't apply her invocations to it.
Can't edit the damage type in the customize option without creating something entirely new, and the new spell having the invocations affect it is the problem.
Create spell. Then copy eldritch blast. It will be the same. Then, change the damage type to fire. It may be a different spell slightly, but that is the way to do it.

I've recently done this myself, and I haven't found a way to do so either, so if you do... please let me know

Change the damage to fire. Should be able to do that.

Unfortunately that doesn't make invocations relating to Eldritch Blast apply to it, since it sees it as a separate spell.
Damn. Can you homebrew invocations?

I think you will just have to keep EB, open it on the character sheet, click “customize” and just put “Fire Damage” I the notes field.

That's what I've been doing and what I was worried about. If it's all there is, it's all there is, though! Thanks for the answers everyone.
