...why? The only thing Druids get at 3rd level in some subclasses is spells. In most it gets nothing, yet I can't publish mine as it "doesn't fit criteria". Is there a reason for this, or just the usual Beyond shenanigans?
Druids gain their subclass at 2nd level. They gain subclass features at 2nd, 6th, 10th, and 14th levels, make sure your features fit these levels.
Bonus spells are not gained in the features part unless they are specifically part of features for the subclass levels, they are placed in the additional spells section of the basic information for the subclass.
This should hopefully cover any mistake that may have been made.
This is correct, and yet Stormknight's Creating Subclasses guide says that 3rd level features are necessary for Druid homebrew. A quick check of the Druid subclass homebrew section will yield the same result.
Then, I'm assuming the problem is the opposite of what I thought. I'm guessing they added this requirement because of the bonus druid spells that the official subclasses have, those starting with 2nd-level spells, which they would get at 3rd level, even though this is not a subclass feature level.
If you have bonus spells for the subclass, move the feature that lists them to the 3rd level. Or add a feature at the 3rd level that lists them, but nothing else. If you don't have any bonus spells for this subclass, then my suggestion is to give a bonus cantrip at 3rd level. This shouldn't change too much and get it to fulfill the requirements of DnDBeyond. The final suggestion I can offer is to put a small feature at 3rd level, but I would avoid this as this doesn't fit how the Druid class was designed.
You can simply make a dummy feature at 3rd level called “N/A” with “N/A”’in the description and the “hide in builder” and “hide on character sheet” boxes checked.
What you guys are saying makes sense, I’m just a neat freak and wish I didn’t have to resort to any of that... I like publishing my content and it kinda sucks to have to throw a dummy feature in. Ruins the presentation.

That hasn't worked for me. I've been dealing with this same issue for over a year.

Thanks for the advice though.
