I am trying to create a feat that changes the nature skill from using INT to WIS. I cannot find which option I need to pick as a mod so that the stat change automatically when you pick the feat. I am also having trouble with the prerequisite of being druid or range. I can only pick character level in general. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
There's no homebrew feature for this because I don't think any official content does it; plus you can already technically use any ability as the basis for any skill check at your DM's discretion, either they'll ask for it, or you could try to argue why another ability is better. For example, you might argue your barbarian should be able to use Strength (Intimidation) instead of the normal Charisma (Intimidation), or your DM might argue that the party's bard should do the same when dealing with a tribe of ogres who don't care much for fancy words.
As a general rule I think it makes little sense to change what ability a skill is based upon by default, but you could certainly have a written rule that lets the player use Wisdom (Nature) instead of Intelligence (Nature) if they want (i.e- their Wisdom is better).

Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
I'm trying to make an item that sets my 2024 Barbarian Skills when she rages to use Strength, as indicated in her base class feature because it doesn't do it on it's own when I toggle Rage to be active.

PHB-2024, pg. 52 While Raging, whenever you make an ability check using one of the following skills, you can make it as a Str. check even if it normally uses a different ability: Acrobatics, Intimidation, Perception, Stealth, or Survival."

Thanks,

Did you ever figure this out?
You just write it in plain text and then the player can switch Abilities by Customizing the Skill directly on the character sheet.
