why does the attunement description need to be filled? What if the homebrew magic item follows only the normal attunement rules? The help question mark says something like "requires attunement by a druid, etc." something like that, but the homebrew item doesn't have any special attunement rules. But if I don't fill in attunement description i can't make the magic item
You can leave it blank if it just requires generic Attunement there is no specific Attunement requirement. But this question is over a year old, I’m pretty sure they pro’ly got it sorted by now.

6 years later from the original post.. and... nope.. it still does the same thing now as it did then.

It does it so you can add requirements to the attunement Like "Requires attunement by a creature of level 15 or greater"
And then you would add the "creature of level 15 or greater" part into the box, and viola!

Yes, and it's still not actually required.

Also i found that if you put something like "to gain it's benefits" it comes out as "requires attunement by a to gain it's benefits"
"by a?" so you need to specify a class/race? I can't even do "everyone," because it comes out as "requires attunement by a everyone"
While it is stared you do not need to fill it in to create the item
Instead of "everyone", I'd suggest putting "user". Then it would read "requires attunement by user"
