I can't believe I forgot to have Spell Strike be on the survey! *facepalm. It's added now, in case the two people who have completed the survey would be willing to go back and edit their responses to give their opinion on it. Thanks in advance, and thank you to the two people who have done it so far!

Any thoughts on the subclasses? I've changed my mind, and am currently adding them to the survey (it has no responses yet).
the original duskblade class from 3.5e was invented by elves just like bladesinging, maybe that should be incorperated into the fluff?
also the battle mage has a weird progression, getting acess to a new spell level once every 2.5 levels instead of once every 2 or once every 4 like a full or half caster, it makes it too hard to determine spell slots when multiclassing, also might be a bit strong seeing as to how you mostly do not gain new class features at the same level as you gain a new spell level

I can add the lore for the duskblade into the fluff for the subclass, thanks! I was not aware of that.
Yes, the battlemage has weird progression. That's kind of the point. They're 3/4th casters. At some levels the scaling could be an issue, but it's just an idea I'm playing around with. It will need playtesting to determine whether or not it is unbalanced.

stealing directly from the phb 2: electric boogaloo:
"A student of ancient elven spellcasting techniques, the duskblade combines arcane spellcasting with the combat skills of a fighter. While the ability to cast arcane spells in armor originated with the elves, over the millennia the secrets of the duskblade have been disseminated to the other races, and today members of any race can become a duskblade"
and
"The original duskblades were elite guardians in an ancient elf empire, duelmasters and arcane spellcasters beyond compare. Historical accounts vary on why they were called duskblades; some say the name is symbolic of how they combined swordplay and arcane magic—a night-and-day combination. Others contend that the duskblades earned their name when they were charged with preserving the elf race in the face of a tide of darkness and evil."
interestingly, the class known as the duskblade there is eerily similar to this archknight class you made, having its own spell list mostly drawn from the wizard list, the exact 5e style half-casting and an way of infusing spells into their melee weapons, which is an interesting coincidence if you were not aware of the class before

Oh, I was aware of the class and knew that they had weapon-infusing capabilities, but was not aware of its elven origin. They (and the swordmage and magus) were part of the inspiration for this class.

I just finished the subclass survey, would have done it sooner but homebrewing dragons and messing with the features in Tasha's has kept me busy.

Did you do both surveys, or just the subclass one? I currently only have two reviews for the class survey, and I had two already.
