So, long and short, I'm attempting to try and make a Platinum Dragonborn variant.
Effectively, I'm trying to build this into it, but making an action like this is something I've never done.
You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in a 15 foot cone must make a saving throw. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 radiant damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After you use your breath weapon, you can’t use it again until you complete a short rest.
I also have no idea how to incorporate level scaling damage into this.
I'd also like to incorporate the Healing Hands ability from Aasimar into this subrace, considering that Platinum Dragonborn, essentially, are draconic aasimar.
I'm trying my best to format this as if they were standard in the PHB.
Unrelated to this one, I'm attempting to make another subclass, and I'm getting this following error, and I'm unsure why.
This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass.

Make a homebrewed race using the Dragonborn as a Template to see how they programmed the breath weapons. Make another using the Aasimar as the template to see how they implemented Healing Hands. Once you’re done with them you can simply delete the unwanted copies.

You attached spells to your subclass. One or more of those spells is either unpublished homebrew, or an official spell from one of the nonfree sources. If the spell is unpublished homebrew, you will need to publish that spell before you can publish your subclass. If the spell is an official spell that is not free access, you will need to remove it prior to publication.
As a friendly piece of advice, don’t publish right away. You do not need to publish your homebrews for you and folks in campaigns with you to be able to use them. Take a few months to thoroughly playtest and edit your homebrews prior to publishing them. Once you publish, you can no longer edit them without taking extra steps first, and those steps will leave ghosts of the old versions that will haunt your homebrewer forever.
I worked out the issues I have had with the Breath Weapon, Healing Hands, and the issues with those few subclasses being unable to be published.
However, can you not use the Hexblade's CHA instead of STR or DEX weapon feature? Even when you create a copy of the subclass, I can't see it anywhere.
It is attached to the name of the feature that grants it, “Hex Warrior.”
I see the TEXT saying it in the description, but I don't see any modifier, etc that allows it. I'm trying to figure out how to do that half of things.
That’s because it is literally coded to the name of the feature “Hex Warrior.”
So what I'm understanding is it's back end coded and we can't incorporate it in our own homebrew?
What you should be understanding is that it’s back end coded and if you stick a class feature named “Hex Warrior” on any subclass for any class at any level then you will give that subclass that feature. Well, not the proficiencies, those are modifiers.

Understood. My apologies.

I wanna make a Warlock Specific feat that grants that ability is why I'm asking.
