I've created a homebrew subclass for a Druid and used the Circle of Spores subclass as a base. I've now included all the data, along with the features and so on, but I still get 2 errors which prevent the subclass from being shared. Try as I may, I can't figure out where the errors lie. The subclass seems fine to me and doesn't include any links to external sources or references to other homebrew content.
The error I get is the following:
This Subclass cannot be shared with the community for the following reasons:
This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass.
This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.
Remember, private homebrew is automatically shared with other users in your campaigns and does not need to be shared with the community for players to access.
This is the link to the subclass (Druid - Circle of Bones). As I said, I'm unable to share it with the community but maybe there is mod or admin or something that can take a look at it and tell me why it isn't working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The Data Mapping warning means that you attached some spells to that subclass that are not freely available, and therefore cannot publish that subclass with those particular spells attached. The only official spells that can be attached to a homebrewed subclass and still be published on DDB are found here:
The warning about the incorrect levels is because Druids have a glitch that incorrectly requires a 3rd level feature, even though Druid subclasses do not grant features at 3rd level. You will need to generate a dummy feature that says and does nothing to workaround that requirement.
A tip from someone who is pretty familiar with DDB’s homebrewer: If you just finished writing the subclass, don’t publish it right away. Once you publish, you can no longer edit it without creating a new version to overwrite the old version. Save yourself the irritation by taking some time to thoroughly playtest and edit your subclass prior to publishing it.
Worked like a charm. Thank you for the quick reply. I left the "problematic" spells in the subclass as they can easily be appended in the spell list by creating a dummy item with the respective spells.
