I'm creating a feat and, like some of the UA weapon feats that have come out, it provides a +1 to attack with the relevant weapon. Is there some way to work it so that a character would get the +1 in her character sheet (under that attacks section) if she had one of this weapon equipped? I can get it to add a +1 to attack for ranged weapons in general. Perhaps that is the closest I can get?

Yes, this is what I've done. But what I'm trying to do is create the feat such that the bonus is given to only a particular type of ranged weapon. Like bows for a bow mastery feat.

It's not possible currently.
As you've no doubt seen, there are already a massive amount of options & modifiers that can be applied to homebrew feats & items.
There will need to be more though!
