Hey, so I'm attempting to update my homebrew race that I posted to the community not to long ago. My biggest concern is that I have multiple subraces created for it as well and when I go to remake it, it does not display the multiple sub races I created for it while I'm editing it. My question is do I have to remake all my subraces while editing the main race or does it input my subraces automatically when I submit it to the community?
I'm having the same problem too. Also, when I go to look at the race on its page it doesn't show the sub races either. And when I go to the character builder it doesn't show sub races under the base race it just shows them individually. What's going on?
Oh, I just reread my home-brew creations page and it has the sub races separate from the parent race. Shouldn't they all be in the same link so I can edit them at the same time?
Once you publish you can no longer ever edit your homebrews, instead you are making an entirely new version to overwrite the old one. Once you publish a race with subraces, if you wish to edit that race the subrace will not be attached as they were created for the old version. You will have to recreate each subrace from scratch for the new version when attempting to update your race.
This is one of the many very excellent reasons not to publish your homebrews until after fully playtesting and editing them first.
This is...annoying. It seems like it'd be easier for everyone if we could see the sub races under the parent race in the published page, in the character builder, and in the edited of a new version.

Indeed! That's what I'm wondering as well, I'm also wondering if that isn't the case if there is a way to "relink" them to the parent race

I hope they can make a way to add already-made subraces to a homebrew race- I don't have the time to redo all my hard work!
