" Perhaps we should explore the room behind the north barrier first. The chamber is separate from the rest of the cavern. Something important could be hidden there. Like another treasure, the stairs leading to the next level or the chief of lizards…."
Sila gives a quick bob of her head and puts the potion of healing back in her pack. Then considers direction.
"I agree with Lucy, the space to the North behind the barrier then off to the cavern to the Southeast. This one is a bit closer though considering the Lizard pet, it might be secured for other reasons." She says glancing over at the stealthy Garavant and then the barrier.

Garavant catches the look from Sila and rises to his feet, feeling much better after the brief respite. "I'll take a quick look," he says.
He takes his crossbow in hand, loading it up in case he needs to fire in a hurry. He proceeds to move off toward the barrier, moving quietly and peering ahead.
Lucystands up and stretches herself. " I have had enough rest. " She draws an arrow from the quiver, smiles and shows her fang." And tired of dead lizards' smell. I want fresh blood. " The bladesinger stands behind Garavant. Her familiar is hovering above her shoulder. The white owl is expecting fight and death as much as her master.
Garavant approaches the door to the north, it is made of the same mud construction as the others although it has handles on this side for lifting it and moving to the side. Straining to listen at the barrier, the half elf hears nothing coming from the other side.
Garavant looks back at the others who are gathering round following their brief break. "I hear nothing," he says quietly. "Shall we?"
With that, he motions for Gruenic, presumably the strongest of their lot, to help him lift the the door and shift it to the side to open up the passageway.
While his colleagues ready their attacks, Garavant moves the mud door to gain access to the room beyond...
Glowing coals in a crude hearth illuminate this large cave. The ceiling here rises about fifteen feet above the floor, and rubbish and skins cover the floor. A lizard the size of a small horse rises and slowly slithers toward you.

Sila's initiative 23
She studies the area quickly, suspicious of a fireplace for a lizard as the other space didn't have one. Seeing no other apparent furnishings slightly dismisses it as a favored pet but still looks around. They've been here a little while, does the fire look as if its been recently tended or that its in need of it. perception9 if needed.
Sila sees signs of habitation – in fact, this chamber looks rather richly furnished compared to the other areas seen so far. The fire burns as if recently tended; it is hard to tell if it has been fed since you arrived at the cave though.

Using the darkvision gifted by Sila Bree looks into the room. Seeing signs of civilization she hopes this lizard doesn't attack right away. "Don't worry we are friends" she says to the lizard, while still preparing a mind sliver for if the lizard attacks one of her friends.

"There's something not right here. I don't remember seeing a leader out there and this place looks too nice to just be a Lizard den. Did one of them look like a leader out there to you?" She whispers to the others continuing to scan. ready attack on Lizard if it makes any move to attack allowing for Bree's attempt at working with the creature.
If it makes any attacking moves or anything hiding does, she will attack with her javelin. Target priority would be of most obvious imminent risk to party.

@DM Did any of the Trogs out there appear to be using better gear or look in any way to be a leader of the bunch? The furnishings and fire seem quite out of place from what they've seen of them so far.

Gruenic was at the front helping Garavant open the entrance into this place. When the lizard moves forward, he steps in front, bringing out his Warhammer. For a split second, he pauses to consider whether the lizard is moving to attack, has an aggressive stance. If so, he will move forward to attack.
