Tempe wanted to cast spike growth at the goblins but he finds that this may be more urgent He cast it
"Keep the creature in the spike growth." When a creature moves into or within the area, it takes 2d4 piercing damage for every 5 feet it travels.
Tempe moves back trying to stay out of reach.
(Presumably this is cast about 20ft from the line you drew, with total covering 40ft distance?)
Raising his head from being engrossed in the fascinating map, Z is a little startled at first. In his haste, he reflexively choses to cast Eldritch Blast as bis first move:
Bolt 1 Attack: 9 Damage: 5
Bolt 2 Attack: 14 Damage: 9
If the creature is already <40 ft from us, Z will use his telekinetic bonus action to shove it 5ft back. (DC 16 STR). If this happens, the creature will incur the 2d4 damage from Tempe's spell. (And will the suffer this damage again when moving forward later to make up the lost ground)
He then also retreats a little to ensure he stay near the back of the group.

(Good news.) The Crinder doesn't notice the spiked growth and enters the first 5 feet with a screech, it then plows 20 feet further toward you with multiple screeches. (It gets 25 feet into the 40 foot area.)
It takes 29 piercing damage.
(Bad news.) Both of the eldritch beams miss.
(Randall is up.)

Moving up but behind the chalk line, Randall says, “I will hold the line against it,” as he conjures a ghostly mace to smite the creature from a distance.
Move to behind the chalk line to be in the front tank against the creature.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tempe doesn't notice any apparent weaknesses, other than the attacks and spells that have hit have done damage.
The Crinder screeches as it moves up to Randall standing at the line, taking 14 piercing damage and attacking Randall with a bite and the other trying to coil around him.
Bite Attack: 11 Damage: 29 piercing damage
Constrict Attack: 30 Damage: 23 bludgeoning damage and also 14 slashing damage.
If the constrict attack hits the target is considered both grappled and restrained (escape DC 16, which you make on your turn).
