(How far did we travel? Is there any way for us to determine and remember the position of the Dragon's den in relation to this cove? It might be that when we're back on the Material plane it would be prudent to check out the location of the Dragon's lair)
You arrived in the Shadowfell by portal and traveled until the brief encounter with the Ancient Shadow Dragon and then traveled some more, lost the trail, got it back, and now are here. You would have a fairly good idea and could probably find it with the help of a Cartographer.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Pepin will move towards where they hear the boat to see if there is anything there besides the boat.

”The trail ends here, at least as far as I can follow it,” says Randall, “Wherever the mages are, they didn’t take this boat, and tracking them across the open sea is not within my capabilities.”
Randall coaxes the carpet higher, so that he can see a few miles out from shore—just in case there is a clue near to shore that can be seen with such a simple method.
