A few more hours go by as you struggle through the marsh. Every now and then, Morgid pauses and checks his map with Thalza and Borbin to make sure you are on the right track. As you continue towards the bone yard. Borbin, as you are walking for about ten minutes you keep getting the feeling you are being watched and think you see something under the water. But you glance again and don't see anything. Suddenly Wolfgang feels something scaly trying to grab his leg. A giant snake is trying to wrap up and around him. Everyone but Borbin is surprised by the stealthy attack.

Borbin yelps as he sees the snake slithering out of the water. He honks, "LOOK OUT" in his nasally voice, but it's already wrapping around Wolfgang's leg.

When Kazrac hears Borbin yelp, he drops the croc tail from his shoulder, equips his shield, and begins to draw his longsword.

The snake attempts to wrap around Wolfgang Attack: 23 Damage: 15 and you are grappled and restrained.

[ definitely going down next round, his first attack knocked me to 4hp! Lol]

Taken off guard Wolfgang struggles as the Snake tightens it grip.

Borbin, not wanting to accidentally shoot Wolfgang, pulls a dagger out of his boot (free action), sloshes over to the action, and tries to gut this snake.

"By the nine hells", Kazrac says, shocked by size of the largest snake he has ever seen. As he watches Wolfgang quickly disappear under its coils, he lets go of the hilt of his longsword and begins to draw arcane power to the palm of his hand. "Let go of him, damn you!!!"

Casts Magic Missile - Damage: 9

He then draws his sword and starts banging his shield while moving closer to the giant snake.

"Over here! Over here you overgrown worm!" (If I can use Intimidation: 6 or Animal Handling: 4 as a free action)

[...Queue the boss music! XD ]

Borbin and Kazrac lay into the snake but it ignores them for it's prey. It bites down on the constricted hobgoblin Attack: 11 Damage: 5

[Misses! For Sanctuary the creature must make a wisdom save before it takes wolfgang. If he fails he must attack someone else or lose the attack. We are still grappled, so there's that still.]

As Wolfgang struggles the Snake bites down on his armor,fortunately it does not piercing through "Release me creature, in the name of Earthis, I order you to Release me!" He will cast Word of Radiance as his action then for his bonus action he will cast Sanctuary on himself!

Borbin continues stabbing at the snake. "Yeah! Let him go!"

Thalza: initiative 11

Thalza seeing her new friend wrapped in the snakes coils, runs up to the snake to take 2 short sword attacks at it.

Seeing Wolfgang avoid the jaws of death [ :D ], Kazrac lets out a battle cry with his longsword in hand as he joins Borbin and Thalza in their bloody work of blades.

Kazrac lands a glancing blow to the snake. 

The snake lashes out towards Wolfgang - Wis save - 5

It is unable to bite Wolfgang and turns it's attention to the smallest and tastiest looking morsel, Borbin. Attack: 18 Damage: 8

Still grappled Wolfgang will use his action to break free.

If he breaks free he will use his bonus action to cast Healing Word on Borbin.

Healing Word: 3

Borbin shouts out in surprise and pain as the enormous fangs tear across his arm, leaving 2 huge gashes. Fortunately, Wolfgang's timely heal immediately soothes the wounds and stops the bleeding, at least.

In a bit of a panic, Borbin lashes out at the python with his dagger, then leaps away into the mud (bonus action disengage) and sloshes as far away as he can (25 ft normal) and stows his bloody dagger back in his boot (free action)
