Zamar was positively floating after the performance. He loved to entertain, but he loved justice almost as much. That he was able to stand up for his new friend Woe in the process did not hurt either. Perhaps he and Lera had been on their own for too long. He still wasn't sold on this idea of adventuring, but Lera was. Better to have a group around to work with and for support. He couldn't watch her all the time. And they did work well together. He considered Lord Viscardi for a moment. The man clearly cared for his little sister. That was a point in his favor. But this may all be a big experiment with them as the test subjects. Point against. Well, whatever Viscardi's game was, he did seem like he was playing fairly. Point for. Lera was going to do it no matter what he said. *sigh* And there were all the rest of the points. May as well make the best of it.
He watched graciously as the other teams performed, but he could see where the energy of the room was. Unmasking the culprit as part of the act had worked exceedingly well. Whether or not anyone had believed the man was a cheat, Zamar knew that interaction would be one element no other performer could match. As the voting wore on he mingled with the audience. Fortunately, his years at court had prepared him well. He navigated the waters with relative ease, gracious and receptive to all, yet not truly offering anything.
And then the moment had arrived. Lord Viscardi declared them triumphant and called them up to the stage. He supposed he had better go up. Suddenly, he felt his hand grabbed by Lera as she pulled her father and Woe up on stage. He smiled in spite of himself, enjoying her exuberance. She reminded him so much of her mother in that moment. He fought back a tear. Now was not the time.
Shanolia watches as the thief is dragged out of the tavern, glad that - at least for now - the guards aren't paying her too much attention. She allows herself a small smile beneath her mask when she sees the look on Polly's face; a look she had a part in creating. It was almost surreal, the feeling she got from helping, rather than harming.
She feels a brief pang of guilt for the man she'd killed just hours before; Did he have a family? A wife? Children? Perhaps a funeral visit is in order...
"...with Team Red ready to take on any challenges that come."
Shanolia shakes her head, cursing herself for the brief moment of weakness.
{{That dreia'nche deserved what he got.}} She thinks to herself as she joins her new team on stage.
Woe is exhausted after their performance. This was something else, she thinks to herself. Zamar was an amazing story teller and Lera very skilled in making those illusionary effects. During the performance, Woe could feel how easily they worked together, how their music melted together, how they could read from the melody, what notes would come next. After many years of playing with others, this was the first time it felt professional and strong.
Woe stood at the table talking with Shanolia for a while. She wondered what her story might be. When they would have more time, she would ask the girl.
While the other performances moved along, Woe eats and drinks her way through the menu - mostly drinks. She will try a couple of the ales and then switch to a strong wine, something resembling a port wine with cherry taste. This goes really well with the extraordinary cherry pies Perrin made.
Woe with the glass in her hand, will still make her way through the inn, talking to people, even signing a couple of autographs. When a twenty-something human adventurer starts talking and complementing her, she'll enjoy it and bathe in his attention, obviously flirting with him. When Lord Viscardi goes on stage, Woe returns to her group. When Lera pulls her and Zamar on stage, Woe has the biggest smile on her face. Going on adventures with this group will be so much fun!!!
As his new friends assemble on stage, victorious, next to Lord Viscardi, Koll wonders if they understand what they had actually won. Was this group going to be hardy enough to explore unknown parts of Faerun and face the inevitable peril and hardship? Cleverness has its advantages, but it is not everything. How would they hold up to pain, exhaustion and fear? Only time will tell, Koll thought. He, for one, felt he had endured enough to adequately prepare for whatever lay ahead, and he was eager to see the world beyond Baldur's Gate.
With a nod to his new acquaintance, Whistler, Koll descends the stairs to the main level of the tavern and joins the rest of his team on the stage. He does not like the attention of the other guests, and keeps to the back of the group. He realizes that the monkey riding on his shoulder draws a few stares. "As much as I enjoy your company, perhaps you'd prefer to stay with Perrin," he says to Junior. "He has pies."
Singe sits in the audience, his part done. He goes back to his book. Staring at him is the fragments of an enchantment spell, the beginning and the end, but the middle escapes him. He begins to scribble, writing in the margins, adding promising lines. As Lord Viscardi begins to speak, Singe looks up and then back down. The notes seem to contort, he blinks, a man lays on wood, slumped over. The notes haven't changed, but a picture has emerged.
Singe closes his eyes and rips the page out, wincing at the sound of a torn page. He sees the stage now filled with his new friends. He scrambles to his feet and joins them on stage, stuffing the page into an inner pocket of his suit.

Once the members of the Red team have assembled on stage, Eldon Viscardi takes his time looking over each one of them, a slight smile on his face, nodding his head. Finally satisfied with what he's seen, he turns to the crowd. "Please, welcome the members to Baldur's Gate's newest adventuring guild!" Again the audience explodes with applause, for a few good minutes. Once it has died down, Eldon continued. "Esteemed guests, please continue to eat, drink, and be merry. There are some of us," he quickly looks at Polly, snuggled up with Mr. Piggles, fast asleep. "Who have had their fill of excitement for the night, and must now retire." Having been given permission, the patrons of the Blade and Stars continue to celebrate.
Eldon turned his focus back to the winners of his competition. "Well done," he said, much quieter this time. "Well done, all of you. If you will all come with me, I will lead you all to your new home." Exiting the stage, Eldon walked over to the sleeping 6 year old, and gently scooped her up into his arms. Polly snuggled down into his chest, and let out a contented sigh, the remains of cherry pie evident on her lips and cheeks. Mr. Piggles snorted and rose to his feet, clearly ready to leave. As this is happening, a familiar Kenku walks down the stairs and up to the stage. "I am Mr. Whistler, personal assistant to Mr. Viscardi. This is for you. Congratulations." With this, he places the diamond in Zamar's hand. He then makes his way to the entrance and begins to gather the scavenger hunt items into a bag. Pausing for a moment, he quickly rushes back to the stage. "Oh yes, I forgot. You may also keep the modron," he said, placing the little figurine into Zamar's other hand. Rushing back to the door, Mr. Whistler finishes his task, then looks at the Blade and Stars sign. "Allistra," he calls out loudly. "I have your sign here!" Allistra mumbles something to herself and trudges through the patrons, yanking the sign from the Kenku.
Once Polly was secure in Eldon's arms, he motioned to the group. "Shall we?" Without waiting for a reply, he made his way to the door, followed closely by Mr. Piggles, and the trio left the noise and excitement, into the cool night air of Baldur's Gate.
“Let’s go!” Lera was practically jumping up and down with excitement. She followed close behind Viscardi, badgering him with questions. “Are we going to all get to live together in one building? Do we each get our own room?” The sorceress gasped. “Are you going to feed us?”
Eldon smiled at the enthusiastic nature of Lera. He slowed his pace so she could walk beside him. "I have found an appropriate building, nearby in fact, that will accommodate all of you. I do apologize, however, that we have not quite finished cleaning the building up, so it is not up to my own standards. There is also, sadly, no food readily available, but I will see to fixing that in the morning." He gave Lera a sideways glance. "Your team did quite well today. I'm quite impressed. It's unfortunate that you didn't manage to get all the items. It seems you are missing that clover you were asked to retrieve."
Eldon turned to look at the amulet, a smile crossing his lips. He met Lera's gaze and said, "Lovely." He turned his focus back to leading the group. "We are nearly there. It's not far now."
“So, I assume this place has a kitchen? Can I use it? Who should I talk to about getting ingredients for the kitchen?” Perrin asks the Lord as they are traveling.
Eldon smiles at the halfling. "It does have a kitchen, but is not currently staffed or stocked. I apologize for that. This has all happened quite quickly. For now, you can speak to Mr. Whistler, my assistant, for anything you might require."
Zamar follows along, smiling contentedly. He hangs back watching his new friends, seeing how they react to their fortunes. Koll is stoic. Perrin and Lera both excited. Singe is hard to read, but seems distracted. Shanolia is guarded. And Woe is light. They have a long way to go, but he is glad to have company for the journey.
"Absolutely," Eldon replied, glancing down to check on the sleeping child in his arms. "We have much to discuss. I do have one task for you all, however." He glanced back at Perrin. "Don't worry, it's not a difficult task, nor is it entirely pressing. This brand new Adventuring Guild has no name. I would like for you and your team to come up with one. Really make it your own. Something you can be proud of. You've worked hard to earn these spots, and you deserve it."
Glancing up, Eldon stopped in his tracks. "Ah yes, we are here." Before you stands a dark building. You can tell it has been abandoned, but only recently. It looks to be in decent condition, with some needed repairs, which have begun. As soon as the group has stopped, Mr. Whistler steps forward, having been following the group, and pulls out a key. While he begins unlocking the door, Eldon continues. "I must get Polly to bed. The poor girl hasn't seen this much excitement in..." He pauses, frowning. "...a few years. If you'll excuse me, Mr. Whistler will show you to your quarters." The door opens, and Eldon, Polly, and Mr. Piggles disappear inside.
Mr. Whistler steps up before the group. "Right. Follow me, please." He leads you inside, lighting candles in the foyer. From what you can see, the place has been recently cleaned, and you can still smell the scent of cleaning products. Picking up a candelabra, he leads you down a hallway, ending at a spiral staircase. "Now, the chambers below were previously used... for other purposes. We've done alterations and made it into a living quarter. It's a bit... lacking, however. You are free to decorate it as you wish." As he leads you down, you indeed see a room that seems a little... confused.
Stepping over to the table in the middle of the room, he places the candelabra down and scans the room, frowning (if a Kenku can frown). "There are still crates and boxes down here that need going through. I assure you, we will get them out of your way." He spots a few cobwebs. "It seems we didn't clean as well as I proclaimed. I will personally handle this myself." Turning to the group, Mr. Whistler clasps his clawed hands before him. "If there is anything you require, please let me know, and I will do my best to provide."
"I think Red should be somehow included in our name," Lera's excitement intensifies, which one would have thought was impossible because she was already so excited. "Because that's our color, and Perrin uses cherries, and Singe and I both play with fire, and it's a really good color."
"Red Genesis? Red Oath?" Perrin speculates.
"Perhaps, it's been a long night, I think we all need rest." Singe yawns.
"Fiiiiine, we can all brainstorm tonight and come to a decision tomorrow." Lera says in a huff.
Turning to the kenku, Singe says "Thank you for your help, I owe you a drink for the feather. Also, will this be our permanent sleeping arrangements?"

Mr. Whistler turned to Singe and nodded. "Yes, as long as you are in Baldur's Gate, this can be considered your home. As stated before you can..." He paused looking around, frowning again. "Well, you can do whatever you like down here. Decorate it, make it a true home. Is there something you wish for me to acquire for you?"
It was far too late for any good names to come to mind, but that wasn't stopping Lera. She took a brief respite from the brainstorming to ask Mr. Whistler a question. "And is there an easy way to get to the roof?" She asked, a little more quietly.
"No; I may want to expand my room, but right now we all deserve a long rest and a leisurely morning. Good night." Singe takes the far left bedroom, if it can be called that.

"I'm sure you'll be around tomorrow so if I have any questions I'll ask tomorrow but I just want to sleep for now; its been a long day." Perrin directs to Whistle.
Perrin will then look at Singe and Shanolia stating "Tomorrow I need to talk to you"
Giving a big yawn he then heads to the bedroom directly across from the main table next to the bedroom in the bottom left corner of the room too tired to wait for a reply from them.
After closing the door you all hear a heavy thud as Perrin is taking off his armor and putting on his common clothes. He'll shout out "Night. If we have any ingredients in the kitchen tomorrow I'll make breakfast." Before Perrin literally climbs into bed, says a pray to Yondalla to protect this house and its new residents, and falls asleep.
