Williwaw clears her throat "Best to ask a thing permission before prodding around in its holes don't you think?" Being a fey, Williwaw is well trained in etiquette, even if it is the otherworldly

The firbolg, in the aftermath of the fight, is starting to look more scared and hesitant. She took a hard blow during the fight, so she tries to be careful and quiet, while also attentive to the surroundings so no more fight happens. To help the adventurer she healed, she approaches and offers a hand to get Scales back on his feet.
"Yes, yes" Nimblefinger replies to Williwaw "That is all well and good, manners and all, but I can't actually speak to the trees. If you can, tell it to throw the thing out."
Scales condition is stabelized, but he is still unconsious.
Nimblefinger: Without getting too close you see a rectangular shape. The object is not moving. When poking with a stick it feels hard, but not entirely smooth.
"So do we bring wait for him to wake up or we drag him along with us?" Grimm questions as he points at Scales.

"Oh, I can!" Bethany chimes in from her position with the main bulk of the group. "Though, something I know is that most trees can't throw things."
"We ready to head back to town or want to move some distance and take a bit of time for a breather?" Grimm question.

“Yes, we should be going” Nimblefinger agrees.“We should link back up with Stavrick and escort him to town to get our reward as well as tend to our wounded”
He pauses “but before we go”he turns back impulsively to the tree and makes a mock bow “with your leave, my tree friend” and reaches in to grab the mysterious object.
"Why no fish the blasted thing out with a dagger or something, might make the difference between working fingers and one that've been stung!" Rhenwi Enaid sounds a bit impatient but, at the same time, a bit concerned that the tree might . . . explode?

Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
Nimblefinger pulls out a metal reenforced cascet. You hear the clinking of gems inside. The cascet is sealed by a skull shaped lock. You still see no signs of a snake. Maybe the bandit captain was just waffling in his final breaths...
“See” Nimble turns to the others with a grin “that wasn’t so bad, and it sounds like it will be well worth it. Let’s get Stavrick and the others back to town and tend to our wounded. Then we can take a closer look at this box and see what’s inside”
He stuffs the box into his pack and moves to rejoin Stavrick and the others, shepherding them back to town.
Grimm rolls his eyes and let out a groan swings his crossbows over his shoulders before pointing the general direction of town, "Let's get moving, There may be more. Also sooner we get back, faster we get paid,"

"So, Stravick," Rhenwi Enaid addresses Stravick. "How is it that you and your company were captured by bandits? You know you wife was worried and so, too, was your son; she 'hired' us to rescue you, said you had our hire price, upon safe delivery of course." Rhenwi Enaid's tone is blunt, matter-of-fact.

Rhenwi Enaid will take a look at Scales, try and stabilize him. “Anybody know anything about healing? Best come over here and see what you can do.”
