"Bloody Hells. I thought it was fearsome before beneath the water, but now..." Boozey growls after having snapped the crossbow up, readying to fire upon the beast. Yet as much as feral fury urged action and vengeance, he narrowed his eyes instead, trying to take the measure of the creature, and recall any significant weaknesses that might yet exploit. But regardless of whether something comes to mind or not(though he'd call out anything brief of note to come), he eventually puts away the crossbow, then snarled as he dug his claws into opposing arms.
"Let Baneful Blood flow, bringing Woe as a Storm of Tooth and Claw." He muttered, more so for keep focused than need as electricity began to visibly course where blood coated his claws.
(OOC: For the first time in like.. ever without prompting, spending an Action on Studying the creature and trying to get a feel for its capabilities besides being bitey mcgee.)
Utar stares dumbfounded for a moment as a slightly familiar beast bursts from the water closely pursued by something completely new.
Standing his ground, he intones the words and the holy symbol of Torm upon his pauldron glows. Abet, Ilim and Burga step from the walls of the cave and Utar feels their bolstering presence.
(OOC Can anyone remember how many crones there were on the island? I want to say five, but I think that's because I want each head on this thing to be one of them. Another part of me thinks there were only three.)

Once she see's the creature that Doozey was yelling about. Neya lands on the rock she is over, releasing her concentration on her bat form. She then moves to the edge (DB-15) of and starts releasing arrows from her longbow.
Longbow Attack: 27 Damage: 10
Extra Longbow Attack: 26 Damage: 8
She then readies herself for attacks coming from these many monster heads (1 ki point for patient defense)
Neya abandons her bat form and rolls into position after hitting the floor, longbow in hand. Two arrows fly through the air but do not pass unnoticed by the creature with 10 eyes. One of the heads turns and snaps both arrows within its maw. Witnessing the creature's awareness gives the monk a moment of pause, and she prepares for retaliation.
Excited by the inaugural challenge Tempus has thrown at his new weapon, Graxx approaches the monster and swings with all he's got just as one of the heads comes at him. Dogma does not disappoint. The first slash opens the approaching neck, bathing the barbarian in the creature's blood. The second slash finishes the job, severing the head and forcing it to land right next to Graxx's feet. (Four-headed Monstrosity takes 58 magical slashing and radiant damage.)
Deciding CRAP needs reinforcements, Utar calls Abet, Ilim and Burga into the fray. Abet appears onto the battlefield already swinging, although he only manages to brush against the foe. (Four-headed Monstrosity takes 7 radiant damage.)
A transformed Doozey adds lightning sparks to his elongated claws, although he has to use some of his own blood for that. (Boozey takes 3 damage.)
Despite the urge to activate his fight instinct now that the fleeing part has been controlled, Boozey takes a moment to examine the creature for a few seconds. He notices that the headless neck is continuing to wiggle despite loosing its closest connection to a brain. The nerves in there may be twitching, but they could still be alive. There are many ways to remedy that, but one sure way to completely nullify a nerve is trough heat ablation, Doozey thinks to himself.
The party watches as the headless neck wiggles some more and begins to split into two, reforming parts as needed so that no portion of the new necks is openly wounded. The process happens violently fast, with sounds of muscle and bone splitting ringing in the air.
The other four necks do not wait for whatever is happening to finish. They attack furiously at those nearby, making sure to move a bit closer to shore in the process.
Graxx's blood is added to creature's own on the barbarian's skin, while Boozey ducks out of the way of the attack aimed at him. Burga raises her shield to protect Utar, and the motion itself seems to damage the creature. (Graxx takes 13 piercing damage, already halved; Four-headed Monstrosity takes 15 radiant damage.)
While the active heads attack, at the top of each of the two newly formed necks, two brand new heads pop out, fully-grown. The creature now has six heads.

As Boozey ducked to avoid the snapping of jaws, clawed fingers quickly found and pulled free a sling. "If'n ya got any fire, I'd use it." He called out. Though by then, fast fingers had already loaded and whipped into motion a phoenix round, aiming to plant it whatever freshly opened wounds are made by the others.
In the next moment Boozey is upon the beast, Graxx' previous warning is forgotten as the werebadger happily tries to claws into the exposed torso just above the water in his own predatory fury.

"That is altogether too many heads!"
Taking Lightbringer in hand, he points the weapon towards the many-headed creature and casts guiding bolt, hoping to see the creature engulfed in holy light.
Spell Attack: 25 Damage: 9
(@MB: No love for Grewalt this time? - Do I keep missing Grewalt out? Next time it can be all Grewalt!)
Neya changes her angle of attack by teleporting a few feet away and proceeds to release two more arrows. One shot lands on the muddy, bloody "beach". The second arrow whistles through the air and sinks into one of the six necks in front and below her. (Six-headed Monstrosity takes 8 piercing damage.)
Face to face with one of the creatures maws, Graxx frowns before laughing loudly. The barbarian then steps into the water as to sidestep the creature and cleanly cleaves another head in a flash of radiant light. That's four decapitations in just as many days if you are to include a certain drow Zhentarim and his half-orc ally. (Five-headed Monstrosity takes 38 magical slashing and radiant damage.)
(@Ori: To summarize our OOC agreement, your three attack rolls were: 23, 19, and 23. The three damage rolls were 6+5, 10, and 12. The first attack benefits from Utar's spell, so the disadvantage from short-range is canceled by the spell's advantage. I can't tell if your original roll was made with disadvantage, by either way a 23 hits.)
Utar aims Lightbringer at another head and unleashes a guiding bolt on it. The searing light leaves a temporary shining mark on the left side of the targeted head. (Five-headed Monstrosity takes 16 radiant damage.)
Boozey also attacks, taking advantage of Utar's spell to aim a fiery piece of ammunition at the damaged head. The furry halfling then slashes a nearer neck with his free hand, repeating the attack for good measure. The effort pays off as the badger-man claims another of the creature's head. (Four-headed Monstrosity takes 33 bludgeoning, slashing, lightning, and fire damage.)
Despite losing two heads in six seconds, the beast's main concern seems to be the tiny wound left on it by the fire pebble Boozey shot. That one head is writhing in pain, giving Ilim an opportunity to shoot a spark of radiant light at it. (Four-headed Monstrosity takes 21 radiant damage.)
The head turns immediately to face the spectral dwarf, its supporting neck becoming more erect in the process. The creature then screams at the adventurers on the "beach", releasing a blast of lightning unexpectedly. Although it was aimed at Ilim, Utar is unfortunately quite close by.
The blast catches everyone by surprise, including the creature's other heads who recoil for a second. Nonetheless, Utar is the only one who pays the price. As far as the creature can tell, it evaporated Ilim. (Utar takes 46 lightning damage.)
The other three heads begin to snarl at each other, apparently attempting to replicate the lightning breath. Some sparks begin to fly from their fangs but they are not getting the full effect of it just yet. Impatiently, they simply turn to bite instead. Maybe if they try again...

The shock in the stoutling might've lasted for far longer than the rest. And after his mind struggled to fight past the confusion and surprise, Boozey soon found himself questioning aloud, "D-...Derannos?" For just that one moment, the thought that the five headed creature was some kind of cursed form of the dragon came to mind. But then, he promptly shakes his head in dismissal, before narrowing his eyes at the creature(if still alive by his turn).
There were too many unknowns -- too many possibilities to leap to that hope out of all. He hadn't even seen the Bronze unleash his breathe weapon before to even be certain of any attributes for Yondalla's sake! Yet so twisted up all the same, Boozey fell back a step to loose another flaming pit seed of a bullet at one of the creature's fresh wounds, then dive in again to try and finish the job.
(@Lerus: I'm assuming the creature has 'reach' for its attacks, so only meaning to move back the 5ft to avoid disadvantage. Utar's body convulses as the electricity courses its way through his muscles. Abet, Ilim and Burga's spectral forms blink out into nothingness.
Still feeling the last twitches of the current as it seeks its way into the earth beneath his feet, Utar doesn't feel like he can give this beast a second chance to unleash a similar attack.
Keeping Lightbringer pointed towards the creature, he raises the head of the mace towards the ceiling of the cave, intones a particularly violent set of words and unleashes his fury and anger at the creature before him.
(OOC Casting flame strike but really hoping that the bit about the strike coming from heaven would read the top of the cave for that, otherwise this is a waste of Utar's only 5th level spell slot. If it works the beast needs to succeed on a DC16 DEX check or take 22 radiant and 14 fire damage or half as much on a successful save.)
