During the journey, Yasei will repair her chipped wakizashi blade (she has a repair kit) and spend an inordinate amount of time in quiet repose, praying to and with her daisho. Her weapons are her soul.
"About that, Bacon. Why do you call yourself a cow boy? You're not a boy, and I've not seen you with any cows... unless you have tiny ones hidden about your person!" She claps and looks excited, eyes wide.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
“Oh, well that’s fairly easy to answer. Back where I come from, cowboy is a kind of slang for a ranch hand or a rancher. I used to work on one and now I own a small one of my own. Though,” Clayton bends down overly sneakily, shifts his eyes from side to side, and uses Prestidigitation to pull a small porcelain cow from his sleeve, “Your idea works pretty well too.”

Clayton glances to Bree and nods. He slips the cow back into his sleeve and pulls it out the other, now painted red with flowers, and presents it to Bree in an eccentric manner.

Musharib, like a loyal servant, makes sure everything is packed and ready to go. With about one hour till the journey north, one can never be too prepared.
Who knows what the travels ahead might bring. He shares a tender but friendly moment with Sithi, hoping they see one another again in Hrakhamar.
Yasei keeps a watchful eye over Musharib, making sure everyone's weapons are readily available (and not packed under 16 layers of Bree's scarves), in case we're ambushed in our journey.
Upwards north with go with the blessings of whatever gods we all worship behind our backs. Musharib seems exceptionally happy and greatful due to the liberation of his home of Hrakhamar, but considers the deeper problem of the dragon deeper below.
ENCOUNTER CHECK: 13
The creatures of this land do not disturb us this day.
We saw a few birds of a color we have never seen before on day 19. In fact, when the few of us saw it, we didn't even know what color to call it, it's as if nature had created a new color. Slither put on his spectacles and scribbled furiously in his book - no doubt documenting the encounter.
ENCOUNTER: 9, 15
For two more days the jungle remained quiet. It's as if we don't even exist as we travel through the thicket of trees and vines.
It was brutally hot today, as if the sun moved a mile closer to the planet. It was an angry heat, it burned our skin and we drank more water that usual. The heat reminded us of the day we liberated Hrakhamar, and Musharib and Slither praised our activities.
We had a great time, and forgot about the heat for a while.
Sometimes we think that the jungle is aware of our presence - we almost got lost today, but Musharib knew the right way. Thank the Gods.
ENCOUNTER: 2, 1
As we were day away from Orolunga, Musharib discovered a blue mist drifting towards us. He warned us not to touch it. We listened, and continued on. Musharib stayed awake that night to make sure the mist didn't touch us.
A massive brick and stone ziggurat rises from the jungle. Two staircases angle up and across the front face, one from the right, the other from the left, to meet at a landing on the second level 30 feet above your heads. That layout repeats on the second level, and the third level, but with each successive later adding less height that the one below it. The fourth level, 60 feet above the jungle floor, is an enclosed shrine or temple, its walls adorned with labyrinth symbols.
The jungle encroaches right up to and onto this ancient structure. The first flights of steps are choked with creepers, tree roots, and flowering vines. It might have been surrounded by a city long ago, but the jungle is so dense that it would take hours of searching to find buried foundations and tumbled stones.
In the middle of night 20, Yasei woke up with a startling scream. Breathing heavily, she exclaimed to her frightened traveling companions that she had an extremely vivid dream that her daisho swords were talking to her. They were whispering to her of glories from previous battles. It was all too real to her.

Maldrek will pick up any large(fist-sized at the least) pieces of wood he can and will just carve them into little animals during the journey.
“Really? How about that, a shaman and a cowboy. We’re a regular play between you and I.” Clayton says with a chuckle.

Upon witnessing the Bree/Clayton Show, Yasei claps and giggles. "More! More!" (this reminds her of court taikomochis)
