Updated map. Weneon is still up from round 1, having succeeded on the perception check despite the thing having a +11 bonus to stealth.
The order after is:
Greater shadow horror,
Calner,
Tabaqui,
Safeguard,
Marlyrh,
Morwena,
Angus,
Weneon
I guess I should include Morwena 9
Angus is only red so he shows up on the stairs.
I put people in room 4 because I thought they want to be there, but I didn't read it in any posts, so if room 2 is better for you, let me know. Safeguard and I think Calner.
Both of the Giant Seagulls disappear when Marlyth attempts to ready the cantrip Primal Savagery. In fact, the rustling sounds of movement and footsteps have made her concerned about the current conditions of her teammates and her own defense.
She will trace the air to create invisible markings in order to channel primal magic to her body and maintain concentration till she finds something disturbing which violates the peace.....the magic causes her teeth or fingernails to sharpen, ready to deliver a corrosive attack.
Weneon lands a few hits on the beast, who snarls and slashes at her 23 for 19 slashing (legendary action), then it takes off, dashing up the stairs, right through Angus's shadow, cast in the light pouring in through the southern door and windows. The monster emerges again from Safeguard's shadow (BA shadow strident does not provoke aoo). In the center of room 4, the horror unleashes a pool of shadows, stretching across the room, around corners and down the stairs. They lash at anyone within 60 ft. (DC16 Dex save or 30 necrotic damage) random roll 5.
He then passes through the fireplace in the north of the room, emerging in room 2. (Incorporeal movement, provokes opportunity attack from Safeguard)
I'm saying Calner has enough movement to get to room 2, where he would correctly surmise the thong went, and as it is not hidden presently, the attack proceeds under normal conditions.

<I'm saying Calner has enough movement to get to room 2, where he would correctly surmise the thong went, and as it is not hidden presently, the attack proceeds under normal conditions.>
GSH Dex save 21
Calners lightning bolt shocks the huge beast (15x15ft)
Safeguard is up as Marlyth readies a venomous attack.
<Let me know if anyone has issues with positioning. It was legitimately hard to find a spot where I could put this guy without being within 5ft of anyone so as not to punish players for their limited agency in movement.>
(So, I'm not sure about initiative order here. If Angus was surprised, he didn't act in round one. The GSH attacks him in round one, while still in cellar, and at the beginning of round 2 runs up the stairs and releases the pool of shadow. Later in round 2 is Angus' first turn. If he sees the GSH go upstairs, then he would NOT go upstairs, and would instead lay hands on himself while still in the cellar. Does the pool of shadow hit him in the cellar before he can take his first action?)
<From the start: Angus is looking at the stone. The shadow thing claws him, dives into the shadow, attacks Weneon, then weneon goes. Then he gies up the stairs and does the thing and that covers 60ft. It would go down the stairs without difficulty, so I imagine it would effect the people in the basement as well. It's not a spell, so line of sight general rule doesn't apply and it would just be anyone within 60ft. So it would also include Weneon I think. I actually did confuse myself here thinking that the shadow horror had to go past Angus on the stairs, which means he could pass through him, but would allow an aoo. If that's not the case and he didn't need to shadow stride to get to the center of the room, it actually means he still has a bonus action which it would have probably used on shadow stealth when it got to room 2 ahead of anyone else. I think it's too late to retcon that bit though.>

Safeguard can make the melee attacks and lands two solid strikes against the creature. In reply, the horror claws Safeguard 13 for 17.
(actually, I think I missed this bit before, but if you get hit by its claw attack, it's a DC16 Wis save or frightened of it until the end of your next turn)

Tabaqui storms into room 2 from the west door and looses an arrow that just misses the shadowy entity.
Safeguard is up as Marlyth readies a venomous attack.
<Let me know if anyone has issues with positioning. It was legitimately hard to find a spot where I could put this guy without being within 5ft of anyone so as not to punish players for their limited agency in movement.>
Safeguard also attempts to rush into room 2.
If he is in melee range of the figure he will attempt to use Thunder Gauntlets on the Great Shadow Horror for 2 attacks.
Attack: 24 Damage: 9
Attack: 12 Damage: 10
If he is at range then he will let loose some Magic Missiles all targeting the Great Shadow Horror
Damage: 9
As a bonus action he will activate his Defensive Field for 8 Temp HP.
(GSH is wearing a thong? My eyes! My eyes! psychic damage!)

Morwena Dex save vs Lashing Shadows 10
(Did Marlyth move anywhere on her turn. She can still act, I'm just posting g Morwena's thing here and then it's Angus and Weneon.)
Morwena casts mage armor on herself.
(Nope, she's maintaining concentration on the spell.)

Wisdom Save: 10
(OOC: Oh whelp. Looks like Safeguard is frightened. Just too low for my flash of genius!!!)
Since Thunder Gauntlets landed, GSH has disadvantage on attack rolls against all targets except for Safeguard.
Weneon dex save for shadow tendrils 23
The attack misses and Weneon chases after the thing (rather fast herself) and attempts 2 more unarmed strikes
Attack: 13 Damage: 7
Attack: 24 Damage: 8
If either lands she'll attempt a stunning strike (DC14 constitution or stunned until the end of Wen's next turn)
She'll then use a bonus action for patient defense (if she didn't need it for step of the wind to close on the creature)
Angus' Dex save:18 (If fail, then Angus is unconscious)
Angus slumps to the floor in the cellar, overcome by the lashing shadows.
Death save: 23
(1 success)
Tabaqui Dex Save: 22
