Harmony had heard Rajira, nodding. She only wished that she could cast this spell more than once in a day. "Of course. I'll make sure to protect her then. Yes, we should go." Harmony said with a smile, agreeing with Aisha. She would stick close to Rajira then, ready to go.
You exit the room with Rajiira in tow, returning to the forked hallway with a door ahead of you and a door on the other side of the hall from whence you originally came.
The path through this door splits again into two directions. Both forks lead further ahead to closed stone doors, and the air grows noticeably colder through here.
Aisha opens this door into another 15-by-15-foot room that looks akin to the one in which Rajiira was discovered. Five prisoners lay dead within, their arms still shackled to the bloodied walls. From the looks of things they have been dead for a while, though not enough to have decayed past the point of recognition, if Rajiira's gasp is evident enough.
"These...They were my companions here," Rajiira says of the departed quintet, two humans, two Nekomata, and a lizard-like Agamar among them.
Aisha stands stoicially on the outside, while flinching from pity for her sister. Rajiira was the less social of the two and as such, the loss of friends was a bit different for her. Aisha closed her eyes, exhaling through her nose slowly as she put an arm around her sisters shoulders, pulling her into a half-hug. This is why we must fight sister. We weren't given a choice in this case... but if we don't, more of this will happen. We just need to push, a little farther Rajiira (Rah-jeer-ah)... just a little farther, and then we can mourn our losses. AIsha will make you the coconut milk tea when we rrreturrn. the last half said in whispers as she tries to comfort.. but also to affirm her sister.
We know wherre to nyext. To the other door. Eventually, we will find wherre we're going. she says, givign her sister a few more moments to mourn, before pushing with heavy shoulders towards the next door.
Harmony saw the prisoners as she heard Rajira, shocked. Oh no, poor Rajira. "Don't worry. We'll make it out of here safely and save the worlds." she had said to her, trying to reassure her while following along.
"Rajiira was nyot that close to them. We had just met. But they were good people," Rajiira says, taking one last solemn look at the scene before following the party into the next chamber.
Aisha opens the stone door on the other side of the hall into a small room containing only a small altar with two grim idols atop it. Lavender incense pervades the area and a small mat fits behind the altar. The wall behind the altar appears to be scorched, the orange stone blackened and discolored with a singed web-like pattern.
(Sorry had to renew my cars sticker, and prepare to donate my late mothers van tomorrow, been preoccupied)
Aisha wasn't too surprised to hear that. They had trouble making any real connections with those they hadn't spent years with. But she never knew.. her sister may have changed while they were apart. Regardless Whatever the case sister, we will avenge them, whether they want us to or nyot. When they entered the other room, Aisha saw the scorch marks, and the altar, and her first guess was either a fire spell had gone awry or the portal was here - but inactive. She had little knowledge of portals but being in dungeons as long as she had... she had seen one or two. Though those had been active... Regardless, Garu was doign a thing, and AIsha would wait for that result before touching things and causing them to fall into a pit of snakes or run from boulders.
Garu stands, attuning her senses to the room, but does not detect the presence of any celestials, fiends, or undead, and it doesn't seem that anything within the room has been consecrated or desecrated, despite the altar's appearance.
Garu relays her findings to the team - "Nothing evil is here at the moment but given my fall earlier, I would not fully trust anything either way". She will begin to check carefully around the space for anything trap-ish.
