Inif cedes to Autumnleaf’s suggestion, “The Rules. But this raft is long since used as it had been stuck down below. If it’s owner comes forth, we shall relinquish it. But in the meantime, we can rescue it from decay.”
Inif looks (8) for any sense of danger and offers his rope to Autumnleaf.
“Secure this to the raft and we’ll try to free it. When the water rises we’ll have transport.”
Karib sighs in relief and enthusiastically helps trying to free the raft. Trudging through mud an water was slow going and uncomfortable in his armour, and he was just grateful that there seemed to be few insects and leeches.
Looking over the raft it's easy to see that it isn't really tied to anything, it's just heavy and in the mud. Once the water rises it'll likely float. Seeing this, the group all climb up to the rickety causeways to have a look around. As you do so Speedwell notices an area of the causeway that is clearly weaker than the others, and then another. It's easy to spot these weak areas, but will slow down movement a bit to avoid them. From here, about 100 meters west many of these causeways converge on an enormous, ivy-covered tree stump that rises a good ten feet above the twenty-foot-high fog bank that enshrouds it.
I'll go ahead and go with the assumption that you're deciding to move in towards the stump to find the brigands, which...
Tying the raft to the causeway to begin to slowly make your way towards the stump, easily, but carefully, avoiding any weak areas in the wood. Autumnleaf is flitting around of course, while the other three walk. An odd feeling suddenly comes over Speedwell and Karib as they become aware that somewhere along the way, a hunched, hooded figure has joined the group.
As they turn back, the figure casts off his cloak with a flourish and a laugh revealing his 15-foot-long, bright blue scarf. He holds a hot branding iron in one hand and a small round shield in the other. As he does so the sound of a bagpipe erupts from somewhere up ahead. After a few notes, you recognize it as the song sung by the harengon brigands they met earlier.
As the figure throws off his cloak, he leaps into the air, patting Inif on the shoulder and landing on over a gap in the causeway, bounding around, nimbly avoiding weak areas in the wood. He laughs and says, "So! You've come to pay the toll! I, Agdon Longscarf will gladly take you fees!"
Note: I've put us into initiative, and you can check the map ((remember, the link for it is in our campaign page)), though, with everything, it may be possible to avoid combat (though I don't think you intend to~). For those walking, you must move at half speed to avoid weak areas in the causeway. If you'd like to use your full movement, please add a d8 roll to your actions at the end of your movement. On a 7 or 8 part of the causeway falls away beneath you, and you must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw to avoid falling off the plank and into the bog.
It is now Autumnleaf's turn, though anyone may queue up actions, or speak, if you want to RP this.
Seeing the brigand flip through the air, Speedwell takes out his crossbow, points it at the Harengone, and says, “We won’t be paying you anything.”

As Autumnleaf curses the boisterous rabbit he feels his fingers stiffen just slightly but manages to easy step out of the way of the sparkles as he sees Inif dashing around the corner towards him. Deftly dodging the monk's attacks he hears a challenger approach from the side, while at the same time vines and weeds grow up around his feet, stopping his boxer's style of constant foot movement around the monk. Looking to the armored man he calls out, "Ah ha! You've got moxie!"and attempts to walk towards him, but is stopped by the vines. But inspired to follow the 'orders' of the Cleric, he pulls himself from the vines and jumps towards the man, allowing Inif a chance to swing at his back, brandishing his branding iron in Karib's face.
Meanwhile, the bagpipe sounds have become more clear, and two skiffs approach the party from either side, each carrying a pair of brigands. Two of whom immediately leap off and charge towards the party members swinging their clubs in an attempt to knock them out, while the others two ready their crossbows to shoot at the flitting creature who had scared them previously.

Dodging the attack at his back, Agdon lands in front of Karib who quickly attempts to light a fire under the bandit's feet and while he prepares his staff for combat. Autumnleaf unleashes a rebuke of hellish proportions towards her attacker causing him to burst into flames and fall to the floor dead, and then fires off another blast of sparkles towards the obnoxious rabbit leader, who turns to dodge just too slowly, being hit some, but managing to react enough to lesson the impact on his shoulder. Inif then runs to further swing at his foe, striking him with his staff, but missing with his kicks. Speedwell, facing an attacker up close, quickly pulls his blades from his belt as he swings them both at the brigand in front of him stabbing into him causing serious damage, but the foe remains standing.
The bandits then return fire, shooting again and trying to hide, or swinging their clubs in an attempt to knock the party unconscious. Stepping off of the fire to the side, Agdon brandishes his red hot branding iron at the cleric in front of him striking once and burning his mark into the Cleric's forearm, just through his clothing. As soon as he feels the pain, Karib blinks and completely loses sight of the rabbit ((he is now invisible to you)), though feels his foe slap his side as he laughs.

Though Agdon resists the physic attack from Autumnleaf, he takes a kick to the side from Inif, again, reacting just in time to slightly lesson the damage to him. Karib swings at the air as Agdon easily dodges, though Speedwell lands another attack, finishing the brigand in front of him. As the bunny falls and hit's the floor, his corpse somehow immediately is covered in a thin film of some kind, and he looks quite peaceful, though still very dead.
The brigand and sniper continue their attacks on their foes, and Agdon turns towards the monk, landing his brand on Inif's neck, suddenly disappearing from Inif's sight, and he jumps across the wooden planks, landing near Speedwell, with a sigh at his fallen friend.
Karib, somewhat beaten but red-faced and angry, cautiously follows Agdon's path as best he can. He watches for any sign of the miscreant. "Come on, taste the fires of Gond a second time!"
He leans wearily on his staff and waits, hiding behind any cover he can find.
