Feeling confusion in the air, Ollezall specifies in a more proper accent "uh...sorry forgive my backwards prose, I was raised in the wild ha...ha. what I mean is you make that improvised flail look very deadly, you swing it like a pro... 'Fully sick bro'"
Once it becomes clear that there is no smut to be had in the library, Syd will investigate the rest of the room.
" So Syd, find any copies of ' tusk love' so far? Haha. You know...if I was going to read some forbidden love stories, I would probably do this in the privacy of a bedroom; there were two wizards here in the mansion, it would take a pretty bold person to openly be reading...your kind of literature...in front of everyone. We haven't found anyone's personal quarters yet; perhaps Fistianda was a secretive kind of pervert?"
Ollezall is smirking this entire time. Ollezall secretly hopes to find some trashy ' lonely wife at home' books also... Possibly The Rock of Gibraltar... Gustavo!! ( For reference, shameless pop culture reference)
Syd, noticing something not quite right, will poke at the ceiling a bit with his sword. He motions the minotaur over to help him investigate (17).
Add 4 to that for guidance
As Syd probes the ceiling, dust begins to drift slowly down between what he can surmise are floorboards in a room above. The trapdoor at the top of the stairs comes to mind as they contemplate the meaning of this.
Contemplating the last time he helped at a barn-raising on the farm, Syd comments, "If there is another room up there, I hope it has magical reinforcement, because a single layer of floorboards with no joists to support them is a pretty fragile foundation that won't hold much weight."
Turning to face the cleric, he smiles a toothy grin, and says, "I'll have to invite you to our 'pretty bold person' book club if we ever get back to Haven. Out and proud, baby. There's no shame in being a 'common-sewer' of fine alternative litter... uh, letra... um... books."

" Haha can you just imagine; the town will start calling me 'pervy sage'. I am a healer, so I need people to trust me when I lay on hands that I'm not just copping a feel, ya know. But in my private time, I do appreciate reading well worded ....um literature haha

Mohdrak jolted out of his daydream. He felt like he had just participated, completed and won a five day athletics tournament when his eyes adjusted and noticed he had followed the group into yet another library. Books were shattered among the floor and one bookcase with chains attached to it seemed quite heavily busted up. Had he accidently toppled it over like that one time with the fine porcelain in the fancy store and the following hour-long lecture on metaphors?
'Hmmm... Yes... Books.'The minotaur mused with one hand stroking his chin, vehemently hoping none of the others had noticed him spacing out for a hot minute.
He did pick up what Syd had been doing and directed his attention to the ceiling. 'Is there an entrance somewhere?'He grinned and patted the morningstar on his hip. 'Or do we make our own?'

(Haha, let's assume that there are visible joists/ceiling beams above you as well, assuring that the overall structure is sufficiently sound to support the party. There should be enough space to punch through in between the joists, although for Syd and Mohdrak, it might be a little snug. With a ceiling height of around 10', I think that either Syd or Mohdrak would be able to hit it with their weapons with sufficient force. If the party elects to attempt to break through, you can describe it to me and roll a STR (Athletics) check with DC 15 to succeed.)
“Well feel free to make a new door, although we could just go back to the trapdoor. And don’t damage any of these books! “ Cerlinde says, looking at the ceiling with concern.
"I would vote try the existing trapdoor on the landing. If it doesn't get us where we want, we can always come back. I mean this whole place was created by magic to begin with, but no sense bringing the roof down on us if we don't have to."
“Yes- let’s try the Trapdoor,” says Cerlinde, looking with concern at the books and thinking of what would happen to them if the ceiling was collapsed on the priceless collection. She finishes up her inventory and, resisting the urge to peruse further, says “I’m ready- but I want to come back here to study! Who’s taking this one? It looks intimidating. Good for a mean librarian “. She holds up the book-flail.
The party makes their way back through the planetarium and laboratory to the landing at the top of the stairs. Placing the suit of armour to the side, one of them pops the trapdoor above and, with a boost from one of the party's taller members, pokes their head through the hole. There is an awful lot of dust up there and it's fairly dark, but assuming either darkvision or another source of light is used, they can discern that this attic seems to stretch the length of the mansion in either direction. To the west, where they've explored, they can see a faint light streaming through the floorboards all the way at the end of the attic, which they can deduce is over the chained library. To the east, they can see a bit more diffuse light coming from two locations.
Aside from the disturbance made by the current opening of the trapdoor, there is the faintest evidence of one pair of footprints heading west along the attic. To the east, the dust appears undisturbed.

Ollezall will volunteer as tribute. Ollezall describes the scene and sound of footprints to the party.
Climbing all the way up, Ollezall will ask if anyone has nails or pitons to secure a rope so others can climb up. Ollezall takes out his rope and looks around for alternative fixtures to secure a rope to. Ollezall will undo some of the hitches in the rope to create wider loops for foot holds.
"If I recall, some of you didn't have the ability to see in the dark." Ollezall takes out a few copper coins and casts light on them "I expect these back; I'll leave them near the trapdoor, take one or 2 if you need them. "
Taking perhaps 5 more copper, Ollezall casts light and lobs them at various distances in the direction of the foot prints. There will be no surprise tonight mysterious menace.
Ollezall finds that one of the rafters above the trapdoor will make for a very handy place to affix his rope. After tossing the enchanted coins down the way, a glint that could only come from something metallic catches his eye. It appears to be small, about half a metre off the floor on the north wall, ten paces toward the western end of the attic.
