Lumimar chuckles and says: "I'm very interested in this shrine that I think was dedicated to a warrior of my race. Apparently they were revered here, but I'm not exactly sure who this person is." He looks at Gin. "Also, I didn't catch your name."

The shrine is fairly modest. It's a large stone statue that seems to be mostly covered in writing. The top of the statue is carved into the shape of a parrot's head. Above the parrot's eye is a singular candle, currently being attended to by a gnome in a ridiculous feathered costume. The ugly little creature glares at you as you approach. "What do you want, Ignorant Ones? Have you come to devote your pitiful lives to Saint Gewonnt of Deneir? Or is it knowledge you seek?"

"I was seeking knowledge in the form of curiosity as to what this place is. I have a question for you, my little friend. Why do you dress like my kind?" he says in a serious tone. "There is also no need to be quite so rude."
The gnome huffs. "I'm not your friend, especially if you keep calling me little. You may address me as Tøhmm the Wise. I dress this way to honour Saint Gewonnt, a mighty holy warrior. You may look somewhat like him, but you will never be as cunning or as dangerous as him. This shrine is erected here in remembrance of the many battles he fought and won in this very place, conquering foul foes. Pray here and perhaps, if you're lucky, you will gain Gewonnt's blessing."

"I see. I apologize Tohmm, I did not mean to offend. I was just curious about this place, and I know that I have a long ways to go before I could become as strong as he was. Until we meet again." He then slowly walks away back to where everybody else is.

A terrible sound erupts outside of town. Clear and crisp, a tear; the tearing of a page, or of fabric. A page of history it's self. The very fabric of reality.
In the sky, east of the river, anyone outdoors can see through; through the tear, beyond reality, through time. There is screaming; pain, but silent, not heard, only sensed... Something is falling from the wound...
Strands of reality stretch together reaching, closing, sealing over the tear like seams being drawn together, mending, closing the horrible wound.
A cloud of dust fills the air where she lands on the bank across the river...

“Well my real name is Giancarlo Rumawits, but that was a mouthful so when I came, the shortened name became gin rummy.”
(Not sure who this statue is. I think there have been a couple of aarakocra monks.)
