"On it, Grandpa,"Kairus ran closer to the action //as far as possible on column 13// and whistled. "Yul! Show those boneheads who is the boss here!" The streak of words sounded strangely musical for such a harsh text but it had to work.

Hun rises and is the first to notice the gradually fading light coming through the shrine's entrance. Not wasting any more time, the artificer spurs his companions into further action. The kobold himself approaches as his weary body allows and launches one of his frosty vials at the farthest snake. It hits her square in the face, nearly bringing the undead serpent down. (Ssura takes 9 cold damage.)
Mr. Thicc is then given the command to end this creature. With another force-pumped fist, the construct strikes the body of the Naga and scatters her many bones across the floor. (Ssura takes 4 force damage and is DEFEATED.)
Y'zleth does not seem taken aback: "You ssshall all perish while trapped here. The sssacrifice you came to ressscue became the lure that multiplied our offering to Merrshaulk!"
Following Hun into the final instant of this fight, Kairus decides it is time to enlargeYulmiath once again and put an end to it all. The dragonborn also feels inspired (Bardic Inspiration.)
Slowly bringing himself up, Rhogal knows he is not out of danger just yet. He places a hand over his most grievous wound and calls on a healing fungal network to patch him up. (Rhogal recovers 13 HP.)
Y'zleth hisses toward the depths, knowing the sacrifice will come soon "Merrshaulk!"
-> Bite vs. Krodhen(Deflect attack): Attack: 12 Damage: 14 (12,14)
Reveling once again in his new swole body, Yulmiath stomps over Ssura's fallen body, not caring for the creak and crunch of bones beneath his uncaring feet.
"LET'S BRING THIS GIGGLE****ER DOWN! MAXIMUM EFFORT!"
Not fully grasping that his new, huge form comes with a huge voice, Yulmiath's pep-talk becomes part rallying cry, part taunt to the remaining Naga.
His enlarged greataxe has a more pleasing heft in his hands. The blue sparks jumping from his body travel up it's length just the same.
Attack: 18 Damage: 8 plus 1 damage on a hit.
DC13 Dex check on Y'zleth or 1 lightning damage. Half damage on a save.
(OOC Stomping over Ssura is more for flavor than actually doing damage, although will leave that up to the DM to make the call. Am totally throwing BI at this attack roll so 2 to add.)
Yulmiath takes a few seconds to adjust once again to his new size but ends up swinging his weapon as if it still had the same weight as its regular form. Y'zleth makes no effort to avoid the blow, but the axe only strikes the ground next to the Naga. As the stone on the ground brakes from the impact, a blue spark jumps from the dragonborn to the serpent. The arc is small and not that intense, but it is enough to disrupt the the last bit of magic keeping the serpent's skeleton together. (Y'zleth takes 2 lightning damage and is DEFEATED.)
For good measure, Krodhen swings his blade across the falling pile of bones in front of him. If there was any undeath left in it, the paladin has now certainly extinguished it.
All take a second or two to breath in deeply. Apart from the closing maw of the serpent who adorns the shrine's entrance, there seems to be no obvious threat nearby anymore.
WE ARE NOW OUT OF INITIATIVE. YOU MAY DO AS YOU WILL.

"Friend Yulmiath, can you turn that stone and get the statue back?" (And smash it, of course, but that could wait) The problem was, they checked everything in this cave before and did not find any other exit to some other caves where the snakes could hide or keep their victims.
Kairus shook his head and walked around the room checking yet again every corner (beginning with the pedestal itself).

"Good hustle, everyone, good hustle! But quick! There's not much time! Those of you that wanna try your hand at zipping out 'fore the way is wholly shut, do so now! Me and Mr. Thicc at the very least will try to see if dismantle or undo those snakes rotten trickery!" Hun barked as he carried on rushing /towards/ the center of the room and up the platform. Even as much of a hurry as he had been, seeing what remained of the snakes yet gave him cause to slow down and scowl at them, before again doubling up to the platform to the center piece. Or at least up to what's there anyhow, figuring at least the odds favor any mechanism being triggered being centered around the area.
"Don't worry, Volo. I'll figure this out.... I always do."He promptly dons his goggles and twists the rim of his goggles, adjusting its focus power while trying to study the immediate area for any clues, hints, and so forth on how he might at least halt the lockdown, if not reverse it. Though he had little doubt that any mechanism involved likely acted a deadman's trap given the culture of its creators, the thought is brushed aside just as assuredly and swiftly as he had donned a vial of focusing concoction to better the odds of finding whatever he sought. "Stand by, Mr. Thicc. I may need some muscle shortly!"
Unless being helped or if either of the actual strong men decide to take point, which in that case mr. Thicc would help them with any physical labor, within the spoiler would be his attempt.

Yulmiath spends a moment staring in disbelief at his greataxe. It was supposed to cleave the last remaining Naga in two! That was the plan! Still, it's bones were spread across the floor and could be ground to dust at any moment Yulmiath chose. So that was good.
Feeling his rage subsides but not his magically enhanced strength, Yulmiath waited for the nod from Hun to being trying to reverse whatever mechanism had swallowed the statue and began the process of closing the cave entrance.

For his part, Krodhen figures Yul has the smash and grab in hand, so turns his attention to the doors. He rushes over to the nearest exit to see whether he can see if anything can be done, looking for any large rocks that he might be able to shift, or whether his javelins might be able to form a brace (if in fact there are 'doors' closing).

OMG - those rolls are unbelievable - Krodhen is pretty useless as always outside swinging his sword!! Maybe he is secretly claustrophobic and the thought of being trapped in this cave is giving him a panic attack!!
Kairus and Hun exchange a look and know that the key to their survival lies in the central mechanism. The bard asks Yulmiath to take advantage of his enlarged size and undo the quarter-turn they all saw the bowl perform once the statue was attached to the pedestal beneath it. The dragonborn wastes no time in attempting such feat but, even with Mr. Thicc's assistance, the deed fails to be completed. The bowl unscrews maybe an inch before the construct's and barbarian's grips falter. The contraption is not only heavy, but it feels like it was built to not be unscrewed upward by force, or to at least be resistant to such an attempt.
Hun then approaches to try a different approach. He assumes hidden cogwheels and a stopper are what are preventing the screwed contraption to unscrew as expected. Any gaps giving access to the mechanism below are nearly flush. Reaching it with tools would be hard, though not impossible. Failing that, strength might still do the trick, but any renewed attempt will have to exert more force than Yulmiath's first try. Perhaps more interesting than anything else, Hun's observations lead him to believe that the contraption might be capable of a full counter-clockwise upward turn, despite the group only witnessing the quarter-clockwise downward turn that drove the niche and statuette into the ground.
While this happens, Kairus takes a look around the room. Little has changed in the chamber aside from the location and height of bone and bone-dust piles. Now that the Nagas are truly dead, the triton can search these piles more closely and even undo them to investigate what they might be hiding. Surely enough, after doing just that, Kairus reveals assorted pieces of adventuring gear, most of it beyond repair. Corroded blades, destroyed scraps of armor, rotted leatherwork, etc. Should Kairus desire to spend some time investigating the various piles, perhaps he might find something of use still. (Feel free to roll an investigation check.)
Krodhen tries the other possible solution, as hinted by the kobold. The paladin of Tyr rushes toward the exit, witnessing the closing snake maw in the distance as he runs. He can't help but feel he has been swallowed by a real snake, and that each passing second forces him closer and closer to his death in the dark entrails of a giant reptile. There are no doors, just the closing maw, but this doesn't give the half-orc any comfort. He arrives at the maw just in time to shove a javelin in there for some leverage but, his strength added to the weight of the stone, only results in the breaking of the wooden weapon. Darkness fully claims the tunnel and the chamber beyond. The Snack Pack is trapped inside.
Grumbling, Hun very nearly started to reverse his bag just to get all of its contents out at once, but just manages to keep his composure at the last minute. "So good news and great news. I'm like, ninety-one percent sure I can jury rig a few implements together to get in there and maybe trigger a reset on the mechanism. Which in itself shouldn't be too hard. I've already done similar delicate work with Mr. Thicc in the past during the prototyping stage."
"Though, it'd probably be easier with a bit of mirror steel, gum, and a few other things. BUT! Still doable." He assured while busily pulling out various tools and kit pieces. "Alternatively, if mostly everyone puts there back into it -- maybe even Rhogal turning into something with a bit of muscle, we could still force it. But, but! It will truly have to be a team effort Just a matter of turning it the full counterclockwise from what I've gathered."He explained, knelt at point to start sorting and assembling more specialized tools.
"Assuming Krogel hadn't made it out, I'd wager our odds are fairly good. But we're gonna wanna act pretty quickly 'least Young Blue's magic times out on us."
