Further introductions are made, with the diplomatic bard leading the way. Kairus and Mrs. Thinn get along well, and it seems the construct will be ready to help the party sooner rather than later. The Snack Pack argues both for and against exploring the rest of the temple. On the one hand, Kairus argues that they have found a large treasure hoard inside and seem to have a clear path to and from it for the purpose of extracting it. Furthermore, as Hun put it, exploring other sections of the temple could lead to unnecessary risky. On the other hand, as Hun also points out, the temple could be hiding additional treasure. Perhaps the biggest argument for continued exploration, however, comes from Yulmiath. The dragonborn reminds the party that many a young tortle tend to try their luck at exploring the temple grounds in their coming-of-age process. Clearing the temple could be a great way to ensure more of those younglings succeed in going back home.
This last argument sticks with Krodhen: "I have looked away from many wrongs my father spearheaded while working under him at the pirate ship. I have since made a point to stick with what is right, to deliver justice, to no longer look away. I am with Yul on this one. I understand my plight is not that of the group's but, at a minimum, making their usual teen hangout a safer place may be the right thing to do so the group here can show gratitude for their hospitality."
Kwilgok also pipes up: "I am obviously biased. I'll say no tortle in Ahoyhoy will fault you for walking away now that you have found your riches. Surely, the island is already much safer now than it was before your arrival, but I wouldn't mind making it even safer... Plus, I get to be part of the group who cleared the temple out, even if just as a guide; not bad for my and DT's reputation!"
The group might need to discuss the topic a bit more before making their decision. In the meantime, Kwilgok offers many sacks and baskets to be filled up with treasure. These are always available when DT is hired as part of the guide agreement. "She is a fantastic fighter in a pinch, but an even better beast of burden!" Taking many trips to and fro, the Snack Pack slowly fills up Kwilgok's many burlap sacks and baskets with the loose coins and gems from the treasure room. This job takes hours, and jumping through the window so many times acts as a bottleneck, but progress is steady. Hun is sure to stay in place with medallion in hand so that the smashing trap doesn't activate during these many trips, and Mrs. Thinn is capable of hauling quite a bit in one go too. Krodhen and Yulmiath are happy to act as muscle alongside the new construct, while Rhogal stays in the treasure room with Kairus partitioning the treasure into piles to be assigned to specific bags and baskets. Outside, Kwilgok is in charge of securing it all to Deadly Treasure. The dinosaur has killed and transported loot over the last 24 hours. She has most certainly earned her name.
While extracting the treasure, Rhogal keeps count of each coin and gem (you can't take the dwarf out of the druid). It all comes to:
2,500 gold pieces
1,000 silver pieces
100 copper pieces
1 diamond (50gp, not 5,000gp as the tool tip indicates.)
1 small wheel of fancy cheese, which somehow only got better over time (10gp, 16lb)
40 play darts in a wooden box (3gp, 14lb)
Eventually, after the last basket is hauled away, the Snack Pack finds itself in the mostly empty treasure room. The only items remaining are the 19 unopened treasure containers which the party has avoided touching for now.

At some point during the last few rounds of the transfers, Hun began tinkering with his goggles, as well taking various concoctions in what would appear to the others to be very familiar preparations. He waits, however, until all have returned before stepping into the center of the room, and once more scanning the various chest for any signs of magic in the chests themselves, before nodding in satisfaction regardless of results.
Though he would of course share his findings with the group, before looking to Kairus. "Still got plenty of bolts? If so, mind plugging one each into the clawed up, bloody, and the one burnt chest too? I did a mental scan the other day, but I rather not we wind up in another giant lizard situation because some shapeshifting punks were too dumb to be detected that way." He looks to the rest of the party. "As for everyone else, uhm... stand at the ready just in case."He requests.
If nothing comes of the triton's attack or if he's refused for one reason or another, Hun takes it upon himself to doff his shield just to make it easier to pick any locks or disarm any traps that might yet keep them away from their prizes.
"Would gladly shoot them all!"Kairus took a spot from which he could see all the first three suspects and shot them one by one. "Want me to kill other chests right away or would rather first study the bodies?"
"Actually, while you are doing that, maybe I'll get back to the camp and find something to poke the boxes here. Not sure I can get the bolts out of that wood and we do not know how many other creatures are left, so, I'd rather keep the bolts."
(Assuming chests were chests) While Hun was studying the "dead" chests, Kairus indeed ran back to the camp to find something that could work as a poking device aka 10' pole.
While Hun prepares his ritual, Kairus shoots three of his crossbow bolts at the more suspicious containers. Each bolt hits its mark and produces the expected thud. There are no reactions from either the containers or anything inside them. Satisfied with the outcome and not wanting to quickly go through the contents of his quiver, Kairus steps outside to find another tool.
Once the kobold's ritual is done, he walks about the room one more time. Only one of the recipients lights up. Something inside the mundane wooden chest painted with an image of an anchored ship (container#11) radiates with transmutation magic. Making a mental note of it and letting the others know, Hun nonetheless focuses first on the three containers that seemed more dangerous.
Mundane wooden chest stained with blood (container#8): This chest is not trapped but it is locked. Hun tries to force the lock open but loses his patience. The contents of this chest remain safe within (OOC: you may try thieves tools again at a higher DC or the group can come up with a different approach.)
Mundane wooden chest scorched by fire (container#4): This chest is not trapped but it is locked. Hun bests this lock easily. Inside, he finds three blank spellbooks and a small wooden case containing twenty candles.
Mundane wooden chest covered with claw marks (container#5): This chest is not trapped but it is locked. Hun almost gives up working on this lock but the mechanism gives in first. Inside, the kobold finds a neatly folded wedding gown and veil (worth 25gp).
By the time Kairus returns with a long, gnarly tree branch in hands, Rhogal is suggesting the group simply busts open the remaining 17 containers.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Yulmaith pulls a crowbar out of his pack and looks to the other Packers, "If we know they aren't trapped and the locks are getting the best of Hun, I know another way into locked items, but it isn't subtle."
Assuming that a demonstration might be useful, he attempts to pry open the remaining blood stained chest and bring his strength to bear.
Kairus observed Yulmiath's way of dealing with locks with curiosity but wishing to be thorough and true to his word, began his own walk around the room poking and tapping each chest (beginning with the magical. He did not break vases but did give each a light tapping too.
Of course, if anywhere a trap activates or one of the chests will try to eat the tree branch (and the n Kairus) he would stop.
"Fine by me. There's plenty enough here for me to go through, so if wanna go at the one's I can't crack, the crates, or the vases, then have at'm. Just know if you're gonna be rough and tumble about it, any contents broken is on you. And some of those vases could also be worth a pretty gold to the right buyer back on the mainland, so.... eh, up to the rest of you." Hun replied, genuinely seeming not all too concern about results one way or another. In rsponse to Kairus approach, the Kobold appeared briefly speculative, but soon shrugged it off and carried on to his next targets with Mrs. Thinn close in hand to bop any lively surprises. Ultimately so long as none were in too much of a hurry he was content to keep to the careful approach until all that remained were vases, urns, and in general other containers in which a little elbow grease and good eyes would do well enough in checking out its contents and setting them aside for Rhogal to sort out.

Before Yulmiath gets into trouble, Kairus begins poking the remaining containers, starting with the one housing some magical source. Once again, no container reacts or sticks to the tree branch as a mimic would (as the Snackers have learned). Rhogal keeps an eye out while the others work on the containers, but there seems to be no signs of danger.
Meanwhile, Hun and Mrs.Thinn get to work on the next four chests and a crate:
Mundane wooden chest (container#3): This chest is not trapped but it is locked, albeit with a simple padlock. Inside, Hun finds 300 electrum pieces of mysterious origin (you may roll a history check to try to pinpoint the origin of these coins.)
Reinforced wooden chest (container#6): This chest is not trapped but it is locked. It also looks harder to break than many others in this room. Hun opens it the dexterous way and finds a set of alchemist's supplies and four flasks of alchemist’s fire inside.
Rotten wooden chest (container#7): The rot on this chest makes it hard to see whether it is trapped. It also looks easier to break than many others in this room. Hun opens it anyway and is delighted by the lack of a trap. Inside, he finds a suit of scale mail and a steel helm with an electrum fish mounted atop it (worth 50gp.)
Double-reinforced wooden chest (container#10): This chest is not trapped but it is locked. It also looks harder to break than many others in this room. Hun has trouble with this chest and moves on to the next one.
Regular wooden crate stamped with the crest of Waterdeep (container#13). This crate is not trapped but it is sealed. Working carefully around the seal, Hun undoes one of the crate's sides. Inside, he finds a disassembled 300-pound wooden sled (worth 20gp), with assembly instructions in Common.

Yulmiath wander over to container 10, and locks the edge of his crowbar into a likely gap in the lid of the chest. Breathing out slightly, he tenses and flexes and attempts to break the lock.
Strength check - 16
If he can't force it, he'll wave Krodhen over for another attempt.
(Krodhen strength check - 9, will leave it to Lerus to decide whether Krodhen uses the crowbar or the sledgehammer.)
Leaving the chests to those armed with suitable instruments, Kairus decided to check out open containers - urns and vases. He began with something most familiar, the one with the lovely squid on it. First, he would simply look inside and smell the thing. If there was nothing visible, he would pick it up and if nothing attacked him, he would dare shake it a bit. Should there be a sound, Kairus would turn the urn upside down (keeping it closer to the ground in case something inside it was fragile).
If the urn seems empty, he would risk checking it with his hand. And lastly, just to be perfectly thorough, touch the squid picture.

Unable to help himself, Hun would spare a few moments to pontificate over the origin of the coin, hoping if nothing else to possibly upsell them to a collector. But if nothing came to mind in the moment, they too are relegated to join the growing hoard of items.
In the next chest Hun's eyes practically bulge out of their sockets and press against the ever present goggles on his face. "Dangerous, but... ho ho ho ho! Non-live ammunition?! I'll take these!"He says happily as he went about carefully storing at least three of the alchemists fire on his person and opening some small compartment on Mrs. Thin for the fourth one, if noone aimed to claim any from him. As for the supplies, Hun appeared more speculative of them, before deciding to store them away in his bag of holding for the moment.
As for everything else to follow, Hun relegated Mrs. Thin to moving the scale mail and steel helm to the treasure pile, as well as the crate with the wooden sled. Even as doubt creeped in about anyone wanting to bother to move the create, Hun nevertheless moved on to the few remaining chests. And once Mrs. Thin is done relocating things, he'd send her off to try to bust open the corroded chest at the very least. Once all is said and done however, he eventually addresses the group. "Alright. That's 'bout all I can manage. The rest I happily leave to you more athletically inclined friends and crowbar of yours."
(OOC: Not gonna lie. Try my best to resist having Hun at some point break character by going 'Yo~ It's your bois Greentongue and the Snack Pack back at it again for another unboxing event! And man am I excited to get all up in little miss Umberlee's booty, if ya catch my drift! Ooooh~ Can I get a Snack Attack with the Pack in the chat! Also! Remember to like and-... etc etc. 'cause he can make a recording device of a sort, if nothing else. xD)
(OOC: I wouldn't want to waste that sledgehammer roll, so I'll assume Krodhen just moves on to a different container after Yul succeeds on his check.)
Yulmiath keeps up his job as alternate opener and reaches the latest chest to give Hun some trouble. A little elbow grease and the right tool is all the dragonborn needs:
Double-reinforced wooden chest (container#10): This chest is not trapped but it is locked. Yulmiath forces it open with ease. It contains fifty vials of perfume, clearly marked as being originated in some foreign land. (You will need to roll a history check to estimate their origin and gold value.)
Krodhen takes some encouragement from Yul and decides to bust open a container too. He approaches something he judges to be a suitable target for his sledgehammer:
Corroded metal crate (container#15): Whether this crate is trapped remains unknown. It is sealed but the corrosion makes it easy to brake. Krodhen proves it with a couple of swings of his tool. It contains five heavy crossbows and 100 crossbow bolts packed in straw. The straw absorbs any damage the sledgehammer would have dealt to the crate's contents.
Kairus also decides to give it a go, approaching one of the urns.
Standard clay urn painted with squid images (container#19): The urn is not sealed but has a lid, which is easily removed by applying a minimum amount of force. Inside, Kairus sees some type of viscous liquid that smells somewhat sweet. Shaking the urn produces an expected swooshing sound. Dipping a finger into the liquid, Kairus soon deduces that it is nothing more than 10 gallons of some naturally-derived, time-resistant, dark purple ink.
Hun takes a quick break to analyze the strange coinage he found. Although it takes some time, he eventually places their origin somewhere in the continent of Maztica, an entirely separate land mass far to the west of Faerûn across the Trackless Sea. Satisfied with his discovery, the kobold moves on to the next chests:
Reinforced wooden chest stained with the crest of Baldur's Gate (container#9): This chest is not trapped but it is locked. Although it looks tough to break, Hun bypasses that hurdle by besting the chest's lock without any issue. Inside, Hun finds a piece of rare gear: a spyglass inlaid with mother-of-pearl, resting on a purple velvet pillow. (worth 1,000gp like any other spyglass.)
Mundane wooden chest painted with an image of an anchored ship (container#11): This chest is not trapped but it is locked. Hun has some difficulty with this lock but wins out in the end. Inside, the kobold finds the magical source he had uncovered earlier. It is a tiny object made to look like a feather. Hun will need to study the item carefully before determining its attributes.
Even Mrs. Thinn gets into the action. She saunters to one of the barrels and pries its lid off despite it being sealed:
Simple wooden barrel made of light wood (container#2): This barrel is sealed but Mrs. Thinn pries its lid off by applying some force to it. She reaches inside, pinches a sample of its contents, and brings it to Hun for his analyzes. The artificer dabs a bit of the gritty substance on his tongue and swiftly determines it to be simple mineral salt. Looking into the barrel, Hun judges it to contain some 80 pounds of salt inside.
(@Ori: The corroded chest had already been opened and I assigned the corroded crate to Krodhen before reading your post, so I had to assign a different container to Mrs. Thinn.)

Standing ready with the crowbar to target any troublesome crates that need extra persuasion to release their contents, Yulmiath looks over remaining containers. Pointing at the barrel made of dark wood, "Anyone want to take bets on what is in that last barrel? My money is on pepper. Mother always said, the lighter coloured one was salt, darker coloured one is pepper."
If a check is needed following Hun's unlocking attempts: 19
"Just ink. I guess, squid ink? No, that would be blue-black... Anyway, ink!"Explained Kairus wiping his finger over the surface of the urn. "Might be useful for some... oh, what a marvellous thing! Can I have a look?" He almost dropped the ink-urn when the spyglass was presented to everyone, positively enchanted with the device. Forgetting for a few moments about anything, Kairus grabbed the thing and tried to look around like a baby that found a bright toy. Of course, using the spyglass inside the relatively small room was a futile endeavour and he returned it to its purple bed.
"Right, let's finish the examination first." He glanced at the box with the spyglass once more he returned to the task at hand. "The barrel might hold pepper, of course. But what by the sea and stars can be held in the urn with the horse with a horn on it?" He moved to the said urn and repeated his careful manipulations with opening and examining.
"We are about to find out." Whether he was disgusted or not but the idea, he did not stop. Curiosity was always Kairus' weakness. But he became twice as careful.
Rhogal, deciding just watching is too slow, opts to aid in the search. He starts with the cracking urn. But not entirely certain of its safety, instead tries open it using the Staff of Withering, making use of what constitutes as digits to manipulate the urn's lid.

Krodhen takes some encouragement from Yul and decides to bust open a container too. He approaches something he judges to be a suitable target for his sledgehammer:
Kairus also decides to give it a go, approaching one of the urns.
Even Mrs. Thinn gets into the action. She saunters to one of the barrels and pries its lid off despite it being sealed:
(@Ori: The corroded chest had already been opened and I assigned the corroded crate to Krodhen before reading your post, so I had to assign a different container to Mrs. Thinn.)
Standing ready with the crowbar to target any troublesome crates that need extra persuasion to release their contents, Yulmiath looks over remaining containers. Pointing at the barrel made of dark wood, "Anyone want to take bets on what is in that last barrel? My money is on pepper. Mother always said, the lighter coloured one was salt, darker coloured one is pepper."

"Just ink. I guess, squid ink? No, that would be blue-black... Anyway, ink!" Explained Kairus wiping his finger over the surface of the urn.

"If the one with the squid contained ink. I'm not sure we want to know for sure. What liquids to flying horses produce?"
