(@Lerus: No problem!)
After taking the sample Hun nods in approval and started patting himself down for any spare pouches on his person to scoop some up. Unfortunately, he never finds a pouch to spare, but still made of the discovery and saw fit to have Mrs. Thinn add crate to the burgeoning pile, knowing full well how hot a commodity salt could still yet be under the right circumstances!
As for the previous victims of the kobold's curiosity and determination, the spyglass leaves Hun staring in awe at it for a lengthy moment. However, he soon let out a sigh and without much a word of explanation, handed it off to Mrs. Thinn to hand off to Kairus while he carried on again. "Hmm... a magical feather token... a symbol of flight? Or perhaps.. hmm... Need to study this one more."He muttered as he absentmindedly set the feather in a pocket to carry to study later.
"You joke, but it could very well be. By all accounts the vast majority of this stuff were things meant for trade more than anything. Which makes sense given the story told about this place, and still makes it a valued discovery if we can properly transport some of it off the island. Heck. You could maybe even use'm as a starter material for entering the mercantile trade, Mr. Yully. Eh~ Ehhh~"He winks at the dragonborn. "Or, I dunno... Kromadome there can give out some of those crossbow bolts to any order her might be fixing to make up to right injustices or some such, if I got the gist of his character right." Hun shrugs.
Seeing little left to pop open or into except the sturdier looking crates, a barrel, and several urns, Hun gives them one last look and scoffs. "Anyhow, I'm gonna start giving what we've got another once over. So feel free to crack open the rest, Mr. Yully. You too, Mrs. Thinn. See if you can pop open that last wooden one, won't you?"Mrs. Thinn pantomime's giving a curtsey before heading over to following through on the orders. And true to his own words, Hun meanwhile made his way back over to perfumes to idly study and consider.
-Mrs. Thinn Strength Attempt vs Regular Wooden Crate: 17.
-Hun's History: 18. (Dropping Detect Magic and using guidance for the above check)
After showing some wonder at the sight of the spyglass (it is quite a wonderful piece), Kairus puts it aside and refocuses on the task at hand. Realizing that the urns are likely the easiest recipients to deal with, he moves toward the next decorated one:
Standard clay urn painted with pegasi images (container#18): The urn is not sealed but has a lid, which is easily removed by applying a minimum amount of force. Inside, Kairus finds ten 50-foot-long coils of hempen rope.
Rhogal feels encouraged to open an urn himself, but not with his own hands:
Cracking clay urn (container#17): This urn is not sealed but has a lid. Upon receiving the slightest of touches, even if by a fake hand, the damaged urn breaks into many shards which collapse to the ground. After going through its remains, as best as Rhogal can tell, the urn was empty.
Mrs. Thinn is up next. Following her orders, the construct pries open the remaining wooden crate:
Regular wooden crate (container#12): Whether this crate is trapped remains unknown. It is sealed but Mrs. Thinn bypasses the issue by applying sufficient force. Its contents are revealed to be but a single item: a saddle of some sort (an animal handling or a nature check is needed to deduce what animal this might be fitted to.)
Krodhen feels like using his hammer once more but picks a worthy opponent. Yulmiath had shown some curiosity about the remaining barrel in the room but reserved his own tool, a crowbar, for the next problematic container, as he has been doing up to this point. Approaching Krodhen instead of the barrel, Yulmiath teaches the metal container a lesson:
Sturdy metal crate (container#14): Whether this crate is trapped remains unknown. Its sturdy build makes it hard to bust open. Krodhen breaks enough of a corner to allow the group to peek inside. The crate contains some musical instruments. Yulmiath finishes the job, revealing a lute, a lyre, and a viol packed in straw, which helped absorb many of the heavy blows and kept the instruments safe.
Tired of opening chests, Hun decides it is time to resume the study of some of the Snackers' findings. He had shown some interest in the spyglass too but was unable to resist sharing the item with Kairus and his child-like curiosity. As such, the kobold moves on to the pile of perfume vials. Discerning their origin is hard, and the artificer soon deduces they must be from some place he is not familiar with. To the best of his judgement, these vials are no more valuable than the standard ones you can find at wealthy cities' markets.
Noticing that two more containers remain undisturbed, Hun invites the others to wrap-up the gift opening session.
TREASURE CONTAINERS
Simple wooden barrel made of dark wood.
Simple wooden barrel made of light wood.
Mundane wooden chest.
Mundane wooden chest scorched by fire.
Mundane wooden chest covered with claw marks.
Reinforced wooden chest.
Rotted wooden chest.
Mundane wooden chest stained with blood.
Reinforced wooden chest stained with the crest of Baldur's Gate.
Double-reinforced wooden chest.
Mundane wooden chest painted with an image of an anchored ship.
Regular wooden crate.
Regular wooden crate stamped with the crest of Waterdeep.
Rubbing his hand together, Yulmiath approaches the dark wood barrel and attempts to gently open it. As a group that pretty much cooks and eats whatever they fight, a few spices might not go amiss. "Right, lets open this one up and check on what's in here."
Yulmaith attempts a gentle open on the barrel before utilising the crowbar if necessary.
"Not what I expected," Kairus was staring at the rope in surprise. "Can it be magical?" He picked up the rope only to confirm that it is nothing but a mundane rope and nothing else. "Strange offering." He shrugged and moved to the last urn. "Well, if fancy urns hold nothing but everyday things, what would a simple urn hold?"
Kairus carefully examined the last urn, repeating all his careful manipulations by opening and studying the content.
After coming to Krodhen's aid and leaving the musical instruments on the floor for those who might be interest in them, Yulmiath get a chance to satiate his curiosity. He walks over to the last barrel:
Simple wooden barrel made of dark wood (container#1): This barrel is sealed but Yulmiath pries its lid off with the help of his crowbar. Looking inside and then sniffing its contents, Yul smiles as he realizes that he is quite familiar with the burgundy liquid inside. The barrel contains 40 gallons of well-preserved wine.
A bit disappointed with what he found in his latest container, Kairus tries to shake off that feeling by opening the next, and last, urn in the room.
Standard clay urn (container#16): The urn is not sealed but has a lid, which is easily removed by applying a minimum amount of force. Tapping, listening to, and sniffing the urn results in no sensory hints of what might be inside. Kairus removes the lid and feels a frown coming to his face. It turns out that the answer to his question was "nothing". The simple urn is empty.
With that, Rhogal finishes putting the last items in a central pile. While some of these recent findings can be called treasure, the group may have to decide how much of it is worth claiming and transporting away, and how much of it is worth keeping for themselves versus finding alternative uses for.
Seeing that at last inventory seemed to be done, Hun clears his throat before addressing the group. "Ahem! Right then! Now that -that's- mostly taken care of, I say... uh.. eh! Let's at least move all of this stuff towards the center chamber at least. That way in some future venture potentially, folk can come up here again to retrieve the items to use for, uh, potential trade with Chult! Heck, even the ink urn could be especially valuable if it's of the right quality for penning spells to parchment!"He asserts. "So, here's what I -suggest- we do-..."
(OOC: See spoiler below for Hun's suggestion, which can perhaps be further hashed out OOC with the end results presuming the characters hash things out IC over the next few minutes. And if there's no major objections, perhaps we can even say the next hour possibly is committed towards moving stuff before ultimately returning to the hallway just outside the treasure room, if not the throne room.)
(P.S: In the end, the above is more a suggestion, so up to everyone else how they feel about it/wish to proceed! The below presumes the above suggestion is fine, but if not, I'll see to editting it)
Once most if not everything is eventually seen to, and the group have a moment to collect themselves and so forth, a wary Hun once again addresses the group. "So, uh...I don't know if we technically have come to a full concession on the whole exploring those tunnels bit -- and honestly, I'm not exactly keen on turning into one of those flying menaces, let alone sitting in that bloody throne... But! But before we, uh, get to that bit, should we at least check out those other doors in that hall. Might not find nearly as much as we did with the treasure room mind you. Yet even so, if we're -really- gonna go out of our way to make this place safer, we might as well start with the one that might increase our odds of escaping in a pinch if things go bad. Right?" Hun asks, and looked almost imploringly at the group.

Yulmiath gives the wine a sniff, checking if its corked. If its drinkable, this is ging to be one hell of a party when they get back to Ahoy Hoy!
Snapping back to the group from the aromas of the alcohol, he nods his agreement to Hun's plan. "Save the best stuff, clear this place out. That order."
(OOC Does Yulmiath know anything about wine? And what check does he roll for that? I've assumed maybe perception or survival? Either way the roll is the same - 4.)
"Leaving stuff here?"Kairus was genuinely surprised. "What, you think Deadly Treasure can not carry it all? I say we take everything to the camp. Well, maybe pack it back into containers first - would be easier to carry. We can even fix that sled if need to be - that would help. If we want to gift something to turtles, we can as well bring it to them, no? I say they would be very grateful for the many crafting materials in here and containers too."
He walked along the piles of treasure, checking everything. Indeed, he scooped all 100 bolts, filling in his bolt case and packing the rest into the backpack. The helmet with the fish on top attracted his attention for a good full minute (Kairus even tried it and looked around in search of a mirror). But the thing was quite heavy to wear and a part of an obvious set, so, the helmet returned to the pile.
Musical instruments Kairus even tested, but the shrugged and return to the container - he was no "one-man band" and had his heart set already. "You know, your human friend, Grandpa, might appreciate this gift od the sea." Kairus pointed at the urn with ink. "And... I was thinking, if we care about turtles, we need to either disarm the trap in the door or at least leave some warning."
"All right, I am done. The spyglass is gorgeous but not claiming it - we can decide what to do with it later. Let's carry the treasure? Then we can clean up whatever you want, while, say, Kwilgok will enjoy assembling the sled."
Hun sighs in exasperation, closed his eyes, and by a thumb began massaging his temple. "I don't have the tools to disarm the trap, and it would take hours anyways to get at the mechanism, Young Blue, for one." He says tiredly. "Secondly, even I can get access to the reader -- whatever 'device or mechanism' is registering the holy symbol as 'No Crush Thing', it's too risky trying to alter it, least I disable it altogether by accidently and likely get crushed in the process... ASSUMING it's even possible to do from where it most likely is."
Having said that, Hun stops rubbing to instead drag his hand down his snout and give it a good shake. "It's also liable to be weight sensitive as well. So with that in mind, I'm not about to wreck Mrs. Thinn testing out theories on alternative using common alternative materials, so that rules that right out. So as far as I'm concerned, it went without saying that once we're done here these necklaces they would've been left with the tortles anyways, along with the knowledge on how to bypass the trap. And if they -still- up and get themselves killed by that trap anyhow, well, that's on them at that point!" He said frankly.
"As for loading up Deadly Treasure, there's a little thing called overloading her carrying capacity, a treacherous road, and not carrying about needless extra crap that might slow us down all the same in a pinch. BUT, if you wanna run it by him and get his assessment, seeing as he'd know his beast better than any of us then... fine by me. If nothing else working on the sled will give him a bit extra to do while we're playing cleaning up, as you say." Hun finally looks again to the pile of loot and tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Either way, if this whole moving business is gonna take up an hour anyhow, I think I'll let Mrs. Thinn handle my share while I take a look at this trinket I found. Seems magical, and could come in handy going forward."

The Snack Pack's next discussion concerns what may and may not be worth carrying outside and beyond. Once Rhogal is done running the inventory, Hun shares his idea on what should go, stay, or be claimed by a party member right away. Although there are a couple of nodding heads among the group, Kairus sees little reason to leave anything behind. Even if it is stuff the party doesn't want/need, he argues, a few gifts to Ahoyhoy can go a long way. In the end, Hun seems to agree, as long as Deadly Treasure can truly carry everything.
While Kairus and Hun then move on to ponder on ideas on how to disable the trap in the treasure room, Yulmiath tests out a bit of the wine by trying to recognize its smell. The dragonborn knows enough to guess the beverage is likely alcoholic, but that's about it.
Once things are settled, Hun continues to prevent the trap from springing by using one of the Umberlee amulets. The others then begin to move the rest of their findings out of the temple. As they leave the treasure room, they look over their shoulder, reminding themselves that the south wall in this room has an opening leading into a dark hallway. They shrug and carry on.
It takes some time and more than a few trips but, soon, all the additional treasures are carried back to camp, even the 300lbs dismantled sled. Kwilgok is happy to help out load more treasure, as unconventional as they may be, onto Deadly Treasure, but only when the party is ready to leave. There is no need to load the beast now and tire it ahead of time. "This... sled... might bring us over DT's weight limit." Kwilgok says. "But if you are asking me to try to put it together, I guess we could simply drag it behind DT with a rope once we start heading back to Ahoyhoy. It should slide on the road, right?" It is obvious Kwilgok has never seen a sled before.
At some point during all of this, Hun finds time to look over the magical trinket the group found. He soon understands it to be a magical token than is capable of stopping a ship from moving, regardless of its size (Quaal’s feather token (anchor).)
You all also notice Kwilgok eyeing the brand new crossbow among the reclaimed treasure. "I'll keep an eye on everything and try assembling this sled thing."He then points to each of the Snackers: "How about you? Will you go back inside?"
(OOC: Where is the group reconvening? Throne room? Treasure room? Dark hallway to the south of the treasure room? Hallway with the sparkly gem? If opening one of the doors in the north wall of the sparkly gem hallway, are you opening the double doors or the single doors?)
"Oh, by the way, found this among the treasures. Thought you might use it here while we are searching inside." Kairus handed over to Kwilgok the heavy crossbow and generously added 20 bolts. "Hope you would not need it but who knows."
"If you can assemble this thing, I do suppose it had to slide on the road. Well, something to kill time anyway."
After a brief rest from hauling the treasure (maybe even a little snack too), Kairus was ready to continue.
"Huh... neat. Not sure what we'll use it for just yet, but-..."Hun's mumbling to himself comes to an end with him pocketing the token again once more for the time being. "Also, probably not well. The sled that is. For as far as I can tell, the roads here aren't exactly the smoothest, to say the least -- But if you want something to do at least while we finish checking out the temple, there's that option. Either way, we'll leave it to your discretion, and, uh... resourcefulness."Hun shrugged.
"And yes. Back to the hallway of doors aplenty and with hopefully less crushy traps as well."The Kobold further asserts with Mrs. Thinn nodding sagely along in agreement.
(@Lerus: Out of curiosity what time of day would you say it is at this point?)
"Ha!" Kwilgok celebrates, "Even we got a bit of treasure, DT!" He begins experimenting with the new crossbow and the accompanying bolts showing a thankful smile to Kairus and the group. When the conversation turns back to the sled, the tortle guide responds: "I am no Eeyal, but I'll put it together before you are done inside."
After a short break for a quick field-lunch, Yulmiath answers Kwilgok's earlier question with another question. Hun calls it on behalf of the group, gets a few nods, and the party is soon on their way back to the hallway adorned by a sparkly orb. This arched hallway is reinforced with stone buttresses, between which are painted murals depicting gloomy underwater scenes. A large double door leading outside stands to the west, and a flickering orb is embedded in the wall at the east end of the hall. Along the hall’s length are two more sets of double doors, a single door, and two clay urns covered with dust and cobwebs. The group is well-acquainted with the double doors leading south, but not the other two (sets of) doors, or the sparkly orb, for that matter.

Hun shrugs. "Probably, but... eh.. who's to say."He said, before looking from the amulet in hand to up to Yulmiath and Krodhen. Then with a sigh he goes over to give the door at least a once over for any traps, before having Mrs. Thinn give him a boost in opening the first door to the north of them.
Rhogal reminds the group that these doors are likely trapped, spurring Hun to give the closest set a once over. Finding nothing obviously threatening on the double doors, the kobold signals for Mrs. Thinn to push them open, and the construct does so right away.
The open doors reveal a palatial bedchamber, though it is eerily quiet and still. Cracks have formed in the blue plaster walls, set into which are colorful coral branches and seashells. Pillars carved to resemble tentacles support the vaulted ceiling, which features a large dome painted to look like the night sky. Beneath the dome and between the pillars, a large bed stands atop a wide, circular dais. The bed’s wooden frame is carved to resemble surging waves. Set into the north wall are two doors. Dust covers everything.
MAP:
Upon request, Krodhen taps and removes the lid of the closet clay urn in the hallway, lest the group be surprised by something. This urn is purely decorative and contains nothing of value. Nothing can be said yet of the other urn in the hallway, or a third one found within the bedchamber.
"What do you think happened to all the folks that obviously lived here?" Yulmiath asked to no-body in particular, "I know this place has a bad reputation and all, but seems like the original inhabitants could've holed up here indefinitely, reckon they all turned to gulls?"
Feeling pretty brave, Yumiath heads into the room and checks the urn, gently lifting the lid on it.

"I'll keep an eye on everything and try assembling this sled thing." He then points to each of the Snackers: "How about you? Will you go back inside?"
(OOC: Where is the group reconvening? Throne room? Treasure room? Dark hallway to the south of the treasure room? Hallway with the sparkly gem? If opening one of the doors in the north wall of the sparkly gem hallway, are you opening the double doors or the single doors?)
The dragonborn knows enough to guess the beverage is likely alcoholic, but that's about it... Which is all that matters to Yulmiath!
"Sparkly gem hallway? Open up some of the doors there?"

"Huh... neat. Not sure what we'll use it for just yet, but-..." Hun's mumbling to himself comes to an end with him pocketing the token again once more for the time being. "Also, probably not well. The sled that is. For as far as I can tell, the roads here aren't exactly the smoothest, to say the least -- But if you want something to do at least while we finish checking out the temple, there's that option. Either way, we'll leave it to your discretion, and, uh... resourcefulness." Hun shrugged.
"And yes. Back to the hallway of doors aplenty and with hopefully less crushy traps as well." The Kobold further asserts with Mrs.

"So, safe bet that most o' these doors 're trapped without them amulets?"

Hun shrugs. "Probably, but... eh.. who's to say." He said, before looking from the amulet in hand to up to Yulmiath and Krodhen. Then with a sigh he goes over to give the door at least a once over for any traps, before having Mrs. Thinn give him a boost in opening the first door to the north of them.

"Someone keep an eye on those urns by the way." He requests over a shoulder before really regarding the inside of the newly opened room.
