Hun was already swimming toward Yulmiath, so he just keeps doing so until he is close enough to deploy his magical concoction. Despite the glare that follows, the kobold only sees tentacles coming out of the wreck for now. He counts four of them grabbing Yulmiath and a mass of at least as many more waving about in search of new targets. (Yulmiath recovers 12 HP.)
Yulmiath wakes up to find himself in a precarious condition, again. He is unable to move away from the green tentacles, which also hold him in an awkward angle.

Rhogal moves as close to the action as he can without leaving the submerged structure on which he is standing {BM-43}. A puff of colorful spores bursts and descends on the tentacles. Because the creature has not fully revealed itself and Yulmiath is grappled by the parts of it which Rhogal can see, some of the spores inevitably fall toward the dragonborn as well.
-> Yulmiath's DEX saving throw vs. Faerie Fire {DC 13} with Danger Sense:11
As the spores touch the water, they dissipate harmlessly. Neither the dragonborn nor the tentacle monster are sparkling any more than their personalities already did. 😁
(Yulmiath and Krodhen are up next. I'll resolve Kairus' turn after that.)
Yulmiath's eyes snap open and his mind is drawn away from it's slow meander through the ports and docks he has visited. He has a strong sense that he had been running amid cargo and ropes and boxes, laughing as a child might at play. What he returns to is less joyous.
Getting to grips with the tentacle holding him, Yulmiath presses his strength against it, attempting to break free.
It takes a second or two for Yulmiath to realize the full extent of his predicament. Once he does, the dragonborn whips his body around in an attempt to free himself from the tentacles' grasp. The barbarian feels his muscles slipping away, but the escape falls a bit short of being complete. Yulmiath has full control of his arms but remains grappled.
-> I forgot to mention earlier that this also counts as being restrained.
(OOC: Krodhen is being auto-piloted this turn, as per message posted in the OOC Chat.)
Putting his Ring of Water Walking to good use, Krodhen approaches the altercation using a path that would allow him to face the opening created earlier by Yulmiath upon arrival at the scene {BC-48}.
Kairus was already close by when the tentacles came out swinging. The triton can't help but wonder if he has ever seen tentacles with such a green coloration in the past, but concludes whatever it is must be quite local to this isle. At least, that's the bard's excuse for not coming up with an answer on the spot.
Answer or no answer, Kairus dives a bit and gets a better view at the situation at hand {BB-45}. Next, he releases a pre-loaded crossbow bolt, delivering the first blow to this enemy and marring the waters with its purplish blood. (Green Tentacles take 11 piercing damage.)
The sight of first blood and a few reinforcing words by the bard are enough to pump additional adrenaline into Hun's system (Bardic Inspiration).
Instead of reeling back into its hole, the creature controlling the green tentacles show more of itself. It pushes its main mass out of the hole, although a portion of the creature is still hidden within. What the group can now see is, nonetheless, quite enough of a sore sight. A center mass blob seems to take whatever shape is needed for the creature to squeeze its way out. Two bulby eyes move rapidly and in independent directions. Suction cups fill the underside of each tentacles, which themselves are quite robust at the base, indicating the strength they must muster.
Hun had been counting tentacles a moment ago. Four of them continue to hold on tightly to Yulmiath. Four more wave menacingly at the dragonborn's nearby allies. The creature then defies nature when it reveals a ninth tentacle in its efforts to push out of the shipwreck, and that's not even counting the tenth one with which it maintains itself attached to the wreck. Any hopes that this might have been an ordinary octopus are completely squashed when the creature opens its large mouth to reveal multiple rows of needle-like teeth. It looks hungry:
With one prey already grasped, the creature does not seem interested in holding on to a second at this point in time. The tentacles simply whip, but are met with more than enough resistance by the half-orc's armor.
Edit: The attack on Yulmiath should have been rolled with advantage since he is restrained. Here's a second roll in case it is a critical: 13
The more Hun sees of the creature, the more tense and tempted to flee he became over the ensuing moments. Yet retreat he would -- could not do to a scaled brethren. Not a third second time. So mustering what courage and strength he had in his little body, the Kobold lunged forth for the tentacle(s) wrapped about "Mr. Yully", and use the dragonborn's body for footing as he sought to pull and tear the creature's limbs free.
He even goes so far as to sink his little fangs in for added security, and wastes precious air to growl out in deep speech, "Let. Go."Not at all expecting the creature to understand him, and only truly speaking it in a rare moment of desperation and budding anger.
Though if the act proves an impossible thing to perform from the outside, then instead he had a frostfire bomb with the creature's name on it....
Action(if possible): Attempt to break Yulmiath out of the grapple! Athletics: 5. (Disadvantage assumed because large creature. But if not applicable, ignore the second roll. If final roll is 12+ but less than 14, adding Bardic Inspiration to the roll: 1.)
OR(if above not possible)

With his arms free, Yulmiath turns his attention to freeing his legs. It can feel something testing out his foot, and he'd rather not lose his. A peg leg is not going to be in his immediate future... Hopefully.
As he takes in the scene, all he can say is "Holy shit" and seeing his comrades in deep trouble amongst the writhing tentacles Krodhen looks for some advantage to staying on top of the water, but failing that he will dive under and attack (options below)
If Krodhen can strike the creature from where he is on top of the water (ie tentacles that attacked him) he will do so
Seeing his former shipmate struggle to work himself free, Hun fights his flight instinct and tries to forcibly yank a tentacle or two away from Yulmiath. His hopes were high, but reality comes crashing down when the kobold fails to achieve his desired objective.
From a distance, Rhogal tries to help by damaging the decapus with his preferred set of spores. As before, the angle of attack proves too detrimental to the effort, and the attack fails.
It was not all in vain, however. Yulmiath uses the paired distractions to finish pulling himself out of the creature's grasp. He even uses his momentum to right himself.
Krodhen analyses the fight so far and deduces that the creature's tentacles have further reach than his weapon. Concluding he'll need to be a bit closer to the enemy than what his ring of water walking permits, he drops its effect and sinks into the water with a javelin in hand. The decision pays off: the half-orc skewers one of the tentacles with his chosen weapon. The paladin pours the proverbial salt on the wound by channeling some of his divine power into his attack. The dacapus produces an unnerving screech of pain. (Decapus takes 15 piercing and radiant damage.)
Keeping the theme of proverbs, Kairus adds a literal insult to injury. The laced words force the creature to recoil a bit. (Decapus takes 3 psychic damage.)
Realizing Yulmiath might be in need of some encouragement, the bard sends a few nicer words his way (Bardic Inspiration.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Either due to hopes it can still nibble on an escaping prey's ankle or due to some temporary confusion caused by Kairus' insult, the creature continues to try to much on Yulmiath:
The dragonborn's ankle was no longer where the creature thought it was. With nine of its tentacles now free, the decapus tries to capture another morsel. Krodhen has earned its attention:
-> Tentacles vs. Krodhen: Attack: 9Damage: 14 (I rolled the wrong damage dice here but the attack missed anyway, so it doesn't matter.)
Once again, Krodhen successfully relies on his heavy set of armor and steadfast shield for protection.

Finally freed from the tentacled grasp of whatever this thing is, Yulmiath decides its time to let it know that this meal can bite back! Swinging his greataxe at a tentacle, he attempts to sever it from the beast.
