While the others negotiate with the ghosts or inspect the map/dollhouse, Razi kneels near the children's bones, contemplating the darkness and suffering of this place. He reaches out to try to contact his patron for guidance.
Mistress Lola, surely these bones cannot be left to molder in this haunted place. Would removing them to a consecrated grave put these poor young souls to rest? Or is there some funerary rite we could perform here? Can you instruct this humble servant on the proper course?

Caine stumbles back when Thorne leaves his body, almost bumping into Jim as he inspects the dollhouse.
"Oh man, that's better," Caine says as he looks around the room. He still eyes the shadows in the corners with suspicion and he checks the lamps to make sure they're all lit, but the soul stealing fear is gone.
"This kid is scared. Not just kid scared, but I think there's really something that happened hear that was truly evil."
While Jim continues to examine the dollhouse, Caine sticks his head out of the bedroom door and tries to figure out where on the floor the hidden door to the staircase would be.
Jim tries to memorise the layout of the basement. The basement looks like a labyrinth with many different corridors and passageways. There are definitely some interesting looking locations but Jim has a feeling that some of these locations will contain dangers that they have not yet encountered the likes of.
Then Jim place the dollhouse back down, possibly the last person to ever touch the dollhouse. The thought is grim and it highlights the atrocities that have happened in this house, however, many years ago it was.
He then stands back up, "Right, it looks like we're going to have to go to the other room before we can enter the stairway down to the basement. I suggest we don't take too long if we can help it, but a thorough investigation might give us some more answers or possibly something even more useful."

Razi gasps and stands up straight. "Of course. I will see it done."
Without explaining himself, he gathers old sheets off of the beds and lays them down on the floor. "Rose... Thorn... we will deliver you from this dark room to a proper resting place. As I take your corporeal remains, I do so under the oath that I will protect them with my life and deliver them safely. Please do not be scared and know that this nightmare will come to an end soon." Carefully, reverently, he gathers up the skeleton of each child (including the doll for Thorn) and wraps them separately and places them in his pack.
(What's the encumbrance for two dead kids? Ah... good ol' Dungeons & Dragons...)

Caine, the last of Thorn's fear having now left his mind, breathes a sigh of relief and heads across the hall to the room with the sheets. He opens the door and takes a look inside, making sure to bring a lit lamp with him. If not immediate dangers jump out, he begins lighting any lamps in the room and begins a quick search of the room ending where the secret door should be.
Caine keeps his distance from the skeleton in the trunk.
"Once is enough," Caine says mostly to himself but audible to the others.
He then looks down the stairs then back to the others and shrugs.
"Well, they go down," he says. "The basement awaits."
Pausing to make sure nothing is moving in the shadows, he checks the fuel in the lamp he's holding and unless anyone wants to stay upstairs, he starts down.
While Jim examined the dollhouse and Razi knelt over the children's remains, Nelyna was standing near the door pacing back and forth with nervous energy. She could feel the presence in her mind urging her to action. As Razi began to gather the bones into his backpack, Nelyna looked at him with first shock and then understanding. Yes, the bones needed to be laid to rest. That felt right.
Nelyna follows Caine into the next room where a bunch of furniture is covered in sheets. She is impatient to get to the basement, but she knows it isn't wise to go off by herself either. As she spots the winding spiral staircase, she begins to grow excited. Her eyes barely skim over the corpse.
"Let's put an end to this," Nelyna declares, following Caine down the stairs.
As they reach the branching tunnel and hear the strange chanting, Nelyna huffs with frustration. "Now which way?" She turns to Jim. "Do you remember the layout of the basement from the dollhouse?"

Watching Caine gather the bones of the children, Jim realises the depths of his words. It was the right thing to do, to put the bones of the children to rest so that they might finally know peace by moving onto the next plane of existence.
He then follows the others to the other room and notices the bones of the family's nursemaid, he stops in his tracts as he watches everyone else make their way to the basement.
"Wait a minute! Are we really just going to leave this poor woman's bones here? I don't think she was at fault here. She was probably innocent. I don't feel right leaving her bones here in this wooden trunk. If none of you are going to put her at rest, then I will."
With that, Jim walks over to the wooden chest and begins to collect the bones of the nursemaid.

"Guy in the letter, right?" Caine says to the others. "Do you think any grave will do for the kids? They died upstairs but would they have crypts already prepared for them?"
Caine moves to the next set of crypts, looking for any sign of Rose and Thorn's names.

"There's were small rooms, almost alcoves, weren't there just ahead?" Caine says. "We can try those first."
