"No thanks Krull, we know you´d win that." Wolfe says with a quick smile. "Didn't think you would care what you smelled though Krull, but thank you in advance for taking care of that fragrance." Wolfe adds and glances over to Edryd as he's about to say something more, but then he just shrugs and keeps shuffling his cards.
Rabbit returns shortly wearing the plain brown woolen dress she had on when everyone first met. Her hair is still wet, dripping even, as she joins the others at the table. "Didn't eat without me did ya?" she says.
"So. What odds do you place that Sildar has our coin tomorrow?" she says abruptly. She surveys the table for something to drink.
"Ezekiel, heh, long story Krull, but suffice to say he's a celestial being very much in control of my destiny at the moment." Wolfe answers the goliath.
Wolfe too relaxes a bit as they finally enter Phandalin, being back in some resemblance of civilization at last. He would help Sildar off the cart and wait impatiently outside. "I'll take a room here, and so does Rabbit. You can deduct it from what you owe me." Wolfe says to Sildar as he finishes his offer. "This town looks quaint indeed but I think I will wait until tomorrow to explore it. Come on in, dinner and drinks are on me." Wolfe says and holds the door up for Rabbit and the others to enter the Stonehill Inn.
Once inside he would try to get a table for five, a bottle of their best red and five menus.
Rabbit quietly looks over the town as they approach, still sitting with her hood pulled over her head and knees pulled up to her chest. Once they come to a halt before the inn she stands, stretches a moment, then hops off.
"This it?" she says to Wolfe once he's off the cart. "Guess I thought it'd be an actual city. This is more of a... farm."
She does listen with interest as Wolfe mentions Ezekiel and 'celestial being'. Her attention though seems to be directed down the street at the few building that are here. When Wolfe takes a room on her behalf she bristles, but lets it go. Eventually she follows Wolfe inside.
"I'd rather change before eating. Gotta get out of these stinking clothes." She looks to get a key and directions to her room.
Easily done. You walk in the inn and you see the common room is filled with locals nursing mugs of ale or cider, all of them eyeing you with curiosity. You walk up to the bar and you find a halfling male smiling widely at you. "Ah, you must be one of SIldar's friends! Here you are!" He hands you the key to a room and motions for you to go upstairs. "The five to the left are all yours."
Edryd walks on in silence as they enter Phandalin. He smiles as he sees the children and the people milling about. This is a good place. They should know the glory of the moon,He thinks to himself. As they walk on he considers the area and where he will start to build his shrine to Selune, perhaps atop the town green he considers as they approach the inn. As Sildar mentions rooms Edryd becomes a bit tense, When was the last time I slept inside.... I had a room once... as a child...
"Do all of the rooms have a roof?" He asks sincerely. Assuming he is met blank stares and confusion he will continue. "I would much prefer to sleep covered by the stars and Selune's light. If there is a barn or stable I shall stay there."His stomach growls in anger and as a startled expression crosses his face, "Though some food would be nice. I will join you for that."
After the meal he would go look for a mostly open place to sleep. He would try the Orchard first if he were to stumble that way or the Farm to the south.
You're right that most stare at you in confusion. "Well," Sildar begins, "all the rooms do have a roof - that's usually a positive selling point of the inn. But there is the stable behind the building, and it's not too cold out so you could sleep outside...The barns and stables also have roofs though..." He shrugs, "To each their own I suppose." [so you won't take a room then Edryd?]
Mau keeps quiet during the rest of the journey, choosing to walk next to the caravan. Once signs of some sort of civilisation are spotted he sighs slightly and begins to let his guard down not much chance of goblins attacking this close to town.
"Take the payment from what is owed us" Mau says flatly towards Sildar "It has been a long journey and a meal would be much appreciated. Though like Rabbit I feel I need bathe and change first, I can still smell the filth from that cave on me."
Like Rabbit above, you go and get the key, noticing and interacting with the halfling as she does.
Wolfe reads the menu and has a hard time choosing but decides on the pickled goat sausages with spiced potatoes and eggs and the seasonal applejack. (OOC: Getting hungry just reading it :-)
As Rabbit gets back down Wolfe offers her a chair and hands her a menu. "No, we waited of course, like true gentlemen." He says smiling at Krull and Edryd. "Also the menus took a while." He adds quickly. "Well, I don't think Sildar is leaving, I think he too has invested in Gundren's business and I don't think he would claim to have the coins tomorrow if that wasn't the case. We'll see I guess." Wolfe finishes with a shrug. "Now let's eat and drink and celebrate that we all survived our first adventure together." He says and raises his glass. "To "The Phabulous Phandalin Phive"
Rabbit looks at Wolfe for a minute without saying anything. She seems to be staring at him. Or maybe just staring past him, hard to tell. She orders, "If he's paying, the medlar tart, spiced potatoes and eggs, and hazelnut cookies." She smiles as she orders. "Oh, I'll try the applejack too."
Edryd nods at Sildar "To each their own indeed. I will sleep in the stable then, somewhere I can see the stars and feel the light of the moon on my face as I drift to sleep." A strange and more than a little creepy smile crosses his face. "You may keep the room."
Edryd sits at the table with the others. He tries to move his chair to a point at the table so he is not too close to anyone else. He gets a bit fidgety at all the activity around him as his eyes dart side to side trying to take in all of the chaos.
"These places seem to attract all sorts of activity. It is maddening! Where is the peace and serenity of the night." He glances over the menu clearly perplexed by some of the offerings. He wrinkles his brow as he reads the entries and finally mutters to the server, "I will have your mushroom and leak soup that seems fine but tell me how by Selune's grace do you get milk from pine?! Is this some beast or monstrosity I am unaware of? Or perhaps this is some sort of transmutation magic and pine is a reagent!? I shall try a glass of this.... drink...."
He will sit and listen to the activity of the others he does not offer any words of his own unless the others address him.
"Most of my tribe don't care if they smell.. but I am trying to blend in with the most civilised ones...anyway Haha! Cheers!to our first adventure!" says Krull as he raises his mug of ale ( samman ale then )
he adds then as his tummy is rumbling" But what about food?! I want the sheperds pie !" ( or even better a beef pie with shortcrust pastry )
The barmaid comes over and introduces herself as Elsa. She raises an eyebrow at you Edryd, but says that you might try your luck at either the Edermath farm or the Alderleaf farm - they both have hay lofts (she giggles at some unknown joke). But to "be careful walking about at night." After you have ordered, she is away for a few minutes before your drinks come, and then a few more minutes before your food comes. She lets you know she has started your tab.
Edryd looks at Elsa and replies calmly, "There is nothing fear in the darkness. Selune protects us and reveals her glory in the night. But tell me what is it that you fear in the night that you would issue such a warning."

Elsa's eyes go wide and she looks around before quietly answering, "Well, the Redbrands, mister, a course -" Before she can finish, the halfling coughs loudly and forcefully, and she looks up in fright. You see Toblen shake his head slightly - he also looks around nervously before adding, "Hey Elsa - one of them was lookin' for a bale a hay ta sleep on. Didn't you talk to Daran recently?" Elsa's face and eyes go back to normal, relaxing as she cocks her head at you and smiles, "You know, yer kinda cute. If yer lookin' fer a place to sleep an yer not gonna cause any trouble, Daran Edermath'll probly let ya stay in the loft." She leans in close, "He was a warrior once, ya know."
Edryd smiles awkwardly, "Thank you Lady Elsa. You should not fear the darkness." His eyes grow wide as he continues, "If these Redbrands disturb the peace of the night they will be forced to atone for their transgressions, Selune's wrath will be brought down on their heads."His voice is a bit more the a whisper and he edges a little closer to the women as he looks unblinkingly into her eyes.
When he finishes his meal he would slide a single dirty gold piece across the table to Wolfe. "This is for my meal. It was rather good, better than nuts and berries I am used to. I shall be at this Edermath's loft if he will spare a bit of space under the stars. If you all intend to help these people and purify the darkness I would like to continue with you when the cursed sun rises in the morning. I shall meet you back here." With that he would get up and head out to the Orchard.

Mau eventually returns to the group, after taking a long bath his fur shines with renewed vigor. He sits down at any free seat and begins to have a look through a free menu.

Wolfe gives Elsa a few appreciative glances as she comes and goes, chuckling at the comment about the hay loft. As he finshes up his meal he walks up to the bar and tries to talk to her while Toblen is not within earshot. "I couldn't, umm, help noticing you...mentioning something about fearing Redbrands Elsa. I would very much appreciate if you could find the time later to expand on that subject. And then there's the matter of that hot bath, if you could see to that somehow when you close up, I´m in the last room on the left." He says with his most seductive smile, prepared to sacrifice himself for the good of the party.
